Hello guys n girls!

I use Mac OS X 10.4 and LDD since years happily together. Upgraded LDD to 3.0 some time ago, and a few days ago, all of or sudden - it doesn't work anymore. I tried to change the settings with .text, erased everything and downloaded it again. But I am unable to open it. It only says "doesn't work with this version of OS X". TLC didn't reply so far.

If someone has an idea, please help me.... :classic:

I found this here.

LEGO Digital Designer version 3.0 is not available on PowerPC Macs. To allow PowerPC users access to their models, we have made a special version of 2.3.20 available exclusively for that architecture. This version will not support the option of buying through Design byME, and it is not supported by LEGO. It can be downloaded here: LDDMacInstaller.zip

Do you have an x86 or PPC Mac?

I also read it, but I thought it refered to something else, actually. I never heard the term Power Mac in my whole life before.

Edit: Mine is Intel, no PowerPC Mac.

Well in your case it doesn't refer to you then. Was there any recent updates to your Mac then? Apple has a bad habit of changing settings and telling no one and this could be yet another case of it, for example.

(Never head of Power Macs? Shame on you  ; they were stunning machines and Apple should have stuck with them. PowerPCs are much better chips... it's just that x86 chips can be made cheaper and Apple stopped caring. The fact that the PS3, XBOX 360 and the Wii all use PowerPC derivatives is proof enough.)

It is just more convenient if you are into media things. Everyone has one in that business.

Thanks so far for you help, Siegfried, but there were no recent updates for mac, I really have no clue what it might be. Seems I am alone with this problem...

Sorry to say, I have no further ideas. Mac support really isn't my best subject...

Well I have the mac version 10.5, my computer needed a few updates recntly so try this:

1. Click the apple button it the top left hand corner.
2. Choose Software Updates.
3. Wait for it to load.
4. If there is anything on the list then download it. (I havent done the firmware one yet)
5. Open LDD
6. If it still does not work then you could try re-downloading it.

I hope this helps you

Thanks a lot so far. Unluckily it just doesn't work. What you said, I tried it several times, also before, different combinations, downloading the zip again, using different things to unpack etc etc. Just stays the same. But since I noticed that TLC is now charging you to upload a model with something like 8€ (didn't notice in the past), I installed LDD on the book of my girlfriend and use paper, pen and PaB, like in the old times... This can be closed, thanks, guys!
