Anyone happen to get the new Star Wars portable game yet? I only have renegade squadrons and its pretty good, If im correct the game should have a land to space feature(but you have to load in between sequences :hmpf_bad: ) and i think its already out. So let the commenting begin!

I have it, and I think it's okay. I found it very similar to Renegade Squadron, except with different maps and the ability to shift between land and space. The weapons and equipment are the same, exept fo the Electrostaff and the Force Pike, which are both melee weapons. I could go on for a while, but I'll summarize with a Pro/Con:

Pros:

- Going from land to space
- Heroes vs. Villains mode (Like Mos Eisley Assault in BFII)
- Melee Weapons for regualar soldiers
- New Galactic Conquest mode, with most of the good features from previous Battlefront games.
- Overall, the maps are better than in RS

Cons:
- Cutscenes while going between land/space and space/capital ship
- No bombers or interceptors, but Hero vehicles are very similar to interceptors
- Many customizations must be unlocked by getting an award of completing a campaign mission.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

I played it once and I was pretty impressed. I mean going into it I thought it was going to be pretty terrible. I'm a big fan of Battlefront 2 so I can say elite squadrons really stays true to the franchise. I would however try playing it first for whoever is planning on buying it. I liked it but I don't own a PSP so i'm not going to be inclined to buy one just for ES. If you do have a PSP and you like Star Wars then I would suggest buying it.

I have renegade squadron which is an alright game. Does elite squadron have different maps? Or are they the same but ES has a few more?

All of the maps in Elite Squadron are completely new ones.

I have the game, and it's very cool if you ask me!
The gameplay is pretty good, and the story is just fantastic!
My brother even thinks it could be the best PSP game ever.

P.S. If you read this post, you must realize me and my brother are both huge Star Wars fans

I keep trying to go to best buy to buy this game, but the store clerk keeps telling me that it is old, I'm really mad because I know its brand new, the old one is renegade squadron. They keep ordering renegade squadron but they never get elite squadron. Do they have it wrong, or am I completely insane?

p.s. I'm serious

i have bought both of them.
in the first sight. I thought that renegade was better, for online play.

but I´m playing more now and the variety of new guns and the new maps are very good. the online play is faster and dynamic.

andf YES, the story is AMAZING, they mixed jedis from force unleash too.....

This isn't happenin to come out on PC, right?

I have both 1 and 2, and my friend has RS. I like the idea of land to space (and vise-versa?) and the Hero Vehicles was a good idea for both games (I was actually thinking about something like this for 2 before RS came out). Are there any new maps? Charecters?
