Generally, Cross Bone Clipper is more sought after, as it is so rare. I'd definitely get one for parts if I had the chance. But design-wise, the Renegade Runner is certainly the better of the two.

Renegade runner is the only original ship I don't own. I don't know why, but I haven't been ina hurry to get one either. So I was one of like two people who voted for clipper. One main reason is because you can buy clippers ALL DAY LONG on ebay for next to nothing. Runners are getting rather expensive.

I had the CBC and I have to say I like the RR much better. I have always liked the black and white sails better than the red and white and you can always add a steering wheel to the RR. So yes I prefer the RR to the CBC.
