Hello dear fellows!

Today I want to present some more miniature architecture to you. The title
already says it all. Since 1999 the Reichstag building in Berlin serves as meeting
place for the German parliament - the Bundestag. I thought that after the many
Capitols and White Houses of the United States, some more centres of politcs
would be nice.

With almost 400 pieces this is probably the most extensive creation regarding
parts that I have built in years. The idea of building the German parliament
came up once there was this lovely 4x4 hemisphere piece available in transparent-
clear. I hop you like it. There are views from all sides as well as a high-resolution
rendering image and instructions available.

I have never seen this building before entering this thread, and I studied the mini first and then went on to the real pictures, and you did a great job. It's obviously not to scale but it's a mini! I'd be proud of this, it resembles the real thing nicely.

I sorta miss Berlin in a nostalgic way which is weird... but it makes me love this one even more. Fantastic job Stone man!:)

That is an awesome little minimoc there Legostein, I love how you did the glass bubble, and the use of those 1x1 pieces as windows is ingenious. The front little part with the columns loks fantastic as well, great job!

Usually, I try to be as exact as possible. I guess length x width is exact, but you're right, the towers are a bit too high. But I wanted to have the towers with windows, so I decided to gain a detail and loose a bit accuracy. It's always a game of balance between level of detail and accuracy.

Well done, it is so recogniceble.

Only thing I don't like are the towertops and the flags.
The parts for the windows in the towertops are to small.
And the flags are too big for my liking.

But again i like the wole.

That looks very close to the original, well done!
I'd change the black plates on the flag for tiles though.

Agreed! I like the whole, but I think you should try to make the towers a little bigger and try to get rid of as many studs as possible, because they're pretty distracting in miniscale. But the pieces for the dome and the pillars are well-chosen.

Awesome. Your use of sloped parts is great.
I think that you should remove any studs visible, with tiles.

Maybe replace the black 1x2 plates with 1x2 tiles, but other than that great work.

I think the other studs add great texture to the rest of the MOC, just not the flag. Still

First of all, I know the flags are waaaaay too big of course.

I used plates instead of tiles to imitate some waving of the flags. I found that when using tiles the flag looked so fat. One stud width for something that's only few milliemeters in reality is far too much, and it looked even wider when I used the tile. Maybe I will take them off completely, to point more to the building, as the first thing you see are the colourful flags.

It looks very good. I like the little slopes on the front very much.

I think my favorite detail is the 1/2 plate vertical offset to get the cheese slopes over the pillars to have a nice, even slope to them. Great job.

The half plate element (I love these things!) is a bracket this time, being attached in the interior so no one can see the big edgy piece. Attached below is the instruction piece, while the rest of the gallery is being remoderated due to new images with smooth flags.
