Today is my day off from work and since the appartment above me was having the electricity installations fixed (= no power between 8 and 12), I decided to go looking for good deals on LEGO.
I entered my local LEGO pusher's store and started moving around boxes of LEGO.
Nothing there...
As I was leaving the store the clerk asked me if I was looking for something special.
Me: "Power Miners!"
Clerk: "Huh?"
Me: "The new January theme" (I wasn't looking, I don't even like PM)
Clerk: "I think we've gotten a parcel from LEGO today, please wait"
Me: "Ok" (Arw nuts, now I have to buy one of those lime sets)
Clerk leaves for the manager's office and returns in 3 minutes
Clerk: "No sets until January, the boss told me to give you this, we're not supposed to hand them out yet. But she said you're a regular"
Me: "Wow, thanks and bye"
Clerk: "Mmm" (giving me the "what-the-....-a-grown-up-who-plays-with-LEGO"-look)

And this is what I got:

A neat little lime polybag.

But that's not all, I was also given this fine little comic with pics and explanation of the sets:

Now that we've all seen that, let's get to the polybag:

Posted Image
Posted Image
Not much to say about it.
It's kinda limish and the back simply states that the theme is up for sale in January.

Now what's inside this nifty little thing?:
Posted Image
A bag within the bag?!

Posted Image
Ahh Sulfurix the trans neon crystal eater.

Perhaps I should reconsider buying the sets from this new theme...
Might as well, since Exo-Force is gone for good :sceptic:

The entire gallery in High-Res can be found here when public.

Free Lego? Why not!
The booklet looks good, and combo models are back once again.
I'm not a big PM fan either, and yet I have to ask myself "will they be sold in Italian shops?" You can NEVER take it for granted!
Most overread phrase on S@H: "Sorry, item is not available in this country: Italy."

Aren't you just the lucky bugger lately? First it was chrome Vader and now this. :oh3:

I wish America had real toy stores where you could actually get to know the owners and create a meaningful relationship. *sigh*

I still think Power Miners is one of the overall ugliest themes in recent history, but I do like these guys and will probably have to buy a few sets after all... :sceptic:

Thanks for ruining my day.

Nice! I like those monsters!
Do you think you can get one of those for me? :sweet:
(If you think the shop could give you another, that is.)

I am planning to revisit the shop, when the owner/boss is on desk-duty.
Hopefully I'll be able to persuade her into handing me a few more.

You Lucky Monster.

Interesting find. Unfortunatly, I'm not a fan of the lime Rock monster. But for getting him for free, that's a steal.

Hey Kimt, since you have got one, i need to ask, how do the arms connect to the torso, is it ball and socket, allowing easy articulation or is it the same old Lego joint?

Well when the first pics shown up I wasn´t such a fan of PM either but after seeing some sets I start to like it   . All the sets look extremely juniorized but the set of $9.99 has lots of normal lime green pieces so I will get that one. I just love lime green  :cry_happy: .

I just got three of theese polybags as well as one of that comic-folder in an envelope from LEGO. Dunno yet if this means that there is or is going to be a campaign involving theese polybags in Sweden.

That would be great, so Sweden at last can get something exclusive !
