16. Olog- Why are Pirates so Horrible...
20. Matn- Governor's End
I voted Beuk for 1st place because his entry is so unique, and caught my eye the most. I'm surprised that this entry didn't get disqualified because of the T.V, but it was a great idea. Good work, Beuk!
I voted Olog's entry for 2nd place because of the wonderful architecture in it, which always interests me. The rug and admiral on the roof are equally creative.
For 3rd place, I voted Matn's "Governor's End" mostly because of the wonderful desk and floor tiling, as well as the little details like the ink bottle and quill. Furthermore, the sad expression on the governor's head really reflects the cruelty of pirates.
Also, my honorable mentions go out to...
8. LuxorV- Don't make them ask twice: This also had some great architecture techniques, like the basement arches. It also was very cruel.
9. Adam- Dance, Lass!: I just thought this was a neat little scenery, with the little wall and the great water. The guy jumping in the water was also cool.
17. pe668- Colonic Cannonball: This entry caught my eye because of the sheer cruelty.
21. oDDerFisken- Buried in Gold: Another very cruel entry, and all of the treasure is a real eye-catcher.
22. LegoJoe: A very cruel and hilarious entry.
43. SirNadroj- Under the Union Jack: The tree was very well built and I, for one, liked the white sand, and didn't think that it looked like snow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of the entries submitted were great, though, and this really was a fun contest. Again, good luck to all!

37. Chrispockster - Swashbucklin'
23. fenrir - Hide the treasure
When I grow up, I wanna be a pirate... took first place for me, as it's a whimsical and unique idea, well executed. The way the topmost dream cloud transforms into the streetscape where the young boy is being chased was cleverly done. The simple door design and voluminous brick-built quilt were great details too - you really got the sense the wistful lad was huddled underneath the sheets and snoring away! And for pirate folk it obviously makes sense that the apprenticeship will be cruel and unusual to say the least! Next lesson: elocution classes to say 'aargh' properly, perhaps?
Swashbucklin' was my second choice as I liked the sense that the observer was getting just a slice of life aboard a Pirate ship. It was 'Incredible Cross Sections: The Lego Pirates Edition'! The brick-built flag detail and below deck area really helped to suggest a larger tableau of activity and a full cast of cruel pirates aboard the larger (invisible ship). The passed-out guy was an appropriate fig, and the economy and precision of the swinging pirates arc as he flies through the air decapitating his enemies was visually well-described. His crazed, demented expression was particularly appropriate
Hide the treasure
I liked this entry for its simplicity and composition, specifically the added background with its visual reference to Classic Pirates. It was like stepping back into an old catalogue! Using classic figs really helped here - it's fun to imagine the expressions on Blue Pirate's and Red Pirate's faces - bemused? Fearful? Or too slack-jawed to have realised that the Pirate captain was going to come after them looking for the treasure that's rightfully his? The positioning of the figs is just right and the Captain's double-barrelled approach perfect to Red and Blue just right - he knows he can't trust either of 'em

17. pe668 - Colonic Cannonball
22. LegoJoe
Pirate's End, by Fat Tony. I think it's the best, combines a number of interesting elements, also believe that by the very logic of the size of this category, the end result is more an issue sculptor and therefore more than in any category the final result should be crystal clear in one image and recognizable as a single object

2nd vote - 22. LegoJoe
3rd vote - 26. Guss - Mickael the cruel
74louloute just had to get my first vote for originality. Really liked the contrast of it being all calm on the bottom of the moc then the chase on the top and the design of the bed.
Second vote went for LegoJoe's entry. Pretty funny and also really nicely detailed. I like how he captured the damp and dinginess of the sewer below and the cleanliness above.
My final third vote went to Guss's entry. I liked the detail that went into the blood running down the headless body using a red arm and hand. Also like the horror captured on the figs faces.

2nd Place Vote:28. 74louloute - When I grow up, I wanna be a pirate...
3rd Place Vote:41. Captain Zuloo - Dinner Time!
The musket up the toilet is priceless.
Very well made and creative!
The dreaming to be a pirate MOC was great.
It's a very innovative idea for a pirate contest.
Dinner time was very sick and gory, which is exactly what was needed in this competition.
It took me a long time to chose which ones to vote for.
There were A LOT of great ideas in these entries.

20. Matn - Governor's End
7. Fat Tony - Pirate's End
1st How cruel!! It's the cery cruel idea and a well buield MOC that made up my decision.
2nd Funny story. Well build, and good pictures!
3nd actually I think this is the most well build MOC in the entire contest and it's funny too, but there's not much pillaging going on. Only killing a pirate. It's a very gloomy entry. I really like it. But it's only a third place since there's too little pillaging.
There was many great entries and I really had some hard choices to pic the three MOC for my votes. It was a great contest and it was fun make my entry. Great work you staff members of EB!
