Brickdoctor Posted February 3, 2012 I'm surprised this is he first time Star Wars has really been brought up in the strip. The George Lucas jokes are just going to pile.... It's not, actually. There have been Star Wars appearances throughout the 2011 Advent theme, and I remember that during the series 'reboot', there was one strip that included a variant of the "It's a trap!" line. I mean during the 2011 advent in general, and I meant as in actual characters. Bilbo Fett doesn't count...
The Legonater Posted February 3, 2012 On the topic of Jedi behavior, I'd like to take the time to say that the latest strip of Brick House was hilarious: *snip* "Why backwords talk Yoda, but drunk no one assumes?"

The EU so beloved of fans here and else where has plenty of examples of god like Jedi / Sith, who can survive all sorts been cut in half is nothing to them, but they aren't canon TCW is. Not sure where you're getting your fact from- EU is most certainly canon. I can't remember any torso slicing other than Maul, but there have been some pretty ridiculous stunts. Fallenangel Posted February 3, 2012 Not sure where you're getting your fact from- EU is most certainly canon. I can't remember any torso slicing other than Maul, but there have been some pretty ridiculous stunts. Correct. We should put this in the first post to save people from having to explain it so many times: When determining canon levels for individual entries, anything in the films and from George Lucas (including unpublished internal notes that we might receive from him or from the film production department) is considered "G" canon. Next we have what we call continuity "C" canon which is pretty much everything else from the EU. There is a secondary "S" continuity classification used for older published materials created when there was less attention to making everything in the EU fit with everything else in the EU. But, if it is referenced in something else it becomes "C". Similarly, any "C" canon entry that makes it into the films can become "G" canon. Lastly there is non-continuity "N" which we rarely use except in the case of a blatant contradiction. Any contradictions that arise are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.... So far I'm using the term T-canon for the upcoming animated series and live-action series. Nothing prior is being considered T-canon. [ADDENDUM: This also applies to the theatrical release of The Clone Wars. T-canon falls between G and C.]
Vindicare Posted February 4, 2012 I just watched Impact Wrestling on Spike tv. Not sure what to make of this...but next Thursday is SW edition... I'm intrigued to see what exactly this is going to entail. So, that's Thursday, February 9th at 9pm on Spike tv. This ought to be interesting.

Well lower canon, I was simplifying, but the quote form Fallenangel could do with been highlighted, as I sick of people complaining about TCW because it contradicts their favourite comic book etc. Incidentally where do the Ewocks and Droids TV shows come in this? Are they T Canon as well?

Brickdoctor Posted February 4, 2012 They may be now, but T-Canon did not exist when those shows first came out. Indeed. T-Canon was created specifically for the CW show, which is why I think that when the writers promise that everything will make sense at the end, they're really just saying that they're going to replace things with a higher level of canon in CW. Oky Posted February 5, 2012 Here's the official Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-9EYFJ4Clo&list=UU5vFx0GahDIWLMFm5j2_JZA&feature=plcp I must say that I'm disappointed. The teaser was so much better, and so was the Vader kid from last year, as they say in the video. Still nice though.

Clone OPatra Posted February 5, 2012 The barking dogs was awesome, that was pure rubbish. You know, although you just make inflammatory remarks all of the time, I do tend to agree with you about this. I quite liked the whole part with the dog; I foudn that clever and cute, although I was wondering how it had to do with Star Wars. Then when the Star Wars part came in, it just felt useless. There was no motivation for it at all, besides for 'let's do Star Wars.' That was lame.
Zarkan Posted February 5, 2012 Oh boy, here we go... http://www.aintitcool.com/node/53166 Sure, so far this is just a rumor with an untested source, but... I've long since stopped putting anything past the Star Wars franchise. Nevertheless, this better not be true, because it would just be another confirmination that StarWars has jumped the shark. Brickdoctor Posted February 5, 2012 Oh, terrific. Time travel is the one thing I feel has always ruined any sci-fi series that wasn't originally built around it. (Back to the Future remains awesome because it was originally a time travel series) I never liked it in Star Trek, and if this rumor is true, I'm definitely not going to like it in Star Wars. Besides, if you succeed in killing Vader, then you're stuck in a loop. And if you go into an alternate timeline, then everything just gets messy. And if you do kill Vader, then in that alternate timeline, Vader can't kill Dooku, so Dooku and Palpy take over the galaxy together (according to the plan before Anakin was discovered in Menace), Dooku will fail to overthrown Palpy (I think that much is obvious), Vader will never have Luke or Leia, the Rebellion dies out as the Death Star blows planet after planet up, Vader can't kill Palpy, and, in the end everything gets worse. Just wondering: What level of canon is this? N-canon.
Fallenangel Posted February 5, 2012 ...one of the series' first episodes will involve a group of bandits acquiring the capability of time travel, and using it to travel back in time to stop Darth Vader from ever existing. What is this? It sounds like the plot for some second-rate screwball comedy.
