fantasy era shield pattern error?

I was diggin in my crownies bin and realized that I have a crown shield that has the sqaure pattern coloured opposite to the rest of my shields

I am curious if this is an error or if this particular shield was made for a certain set

You have a pic of this? I don't have a "reverse" one, and I can't really get if before me how it would look like...

The colors are just reversed? Or what is it that you mean? Are you certain both are Crownie' shields??

I remember someone posting that several months ago somewhere here. I think this error just surfaced in some of the "The Knight" impulse sets. Yes, it is an error i have 2 reversed shields myself, and i remember the same already happeed back in the days on some black falcons shields.

Could someone please post a picture of the error? I have many crown shields, but I have not encountered the error yet.

I don't have any reversed shields but I have seen or heard many people talking about this. Probably they were printed in a different machine than the others, hence the difference.

I may have had this problem, I'll have to check. I remember the same thing happening to some flags to, with the wavy design being reversed. Maybe it's something like that.

Yeah, in Tower raid (7037) the blue vlag waves in the opposite way. And i bought another one of this set; same problem with the flag!

I didn't know there was an error with the shields. The dwarven roundshields have the opposite colours, but i guess that isn't an error...

Here's a photo - I have two from the impulse knight set, they are in the top row of the photo. Subsequent copies of that set that I bought had normal shields

I got 5 of these shields. 2 with dark blue in the upper left and 3 with light blue in the upper left. The light blue in the upper left corner is the one I got in the new sets. I bought some Castle sets yesterday (3 shields in total) and all 3 have light blue in the upper left corner. The ones from the Knights' catapult have dark blue in the upper left corner.

yes, hold on to them closely, maybe one day they end up on bricklink being sold for a small fortune You know, like misprinted postal stamps

I wouldn't mind some more of the alternate pattern, but Lego seemed to sell through the contaminated supply of 'the knight' very quickly...
