Rook Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) Well I finished this a few days ago there was plenty of things wrong with it but I thought I would share it anyways. Skipper 24 Posted October 3, 2008 Wow that looks pretty cool and accurate to me. Well from the outside anyway. I don't like the bottom chin turret though it looks to big and unwieldy. Good work .
Zorro Posted October 3, 2008 Looks pretty good, could use some tiles perhaps?? But a from me.
Guss Posted October 3, 2008 wow nice! it looks accurate ! nice job !
Teddy Posted October 3, 2008 Dear Rook, that looks amazingly well done indeed. Judging from your reference material though, it appears the engine is attached to both the top and bottom wing. I might, ofcourse, be totaly wrong, since I'm no Star Wars expert. I do like the concept of building models not apearing in the original movies. So keep up the good work! Kind regards, Teddy
Legoking Posted October 3, 2008 WOW, I can't believe my eyes. You made the exact same as the picture. It is fantastic. Well done! How long did it take you to make?
Matteo Kenobi Posted October 3, 2008 Love it!! Although the chin turret does kinda look akward, I love it, well done
Doctor Sinister Posted October 3, 2008 I'd never heard of the K-Wing before, but you've done an excellent, superb job of recreating the source picture in LEGO. What a great MOC! Dr. S.
kill will Posted October 3, 2008 Totally awesome! I think that the chin turret is jutting out a bit to far. Otherwise,
SWMAN Posted October 4, 2008 That is really amazing. Could you possibly post a size-comparison picture.
JimBee Posted October 4, 2008 Nice MOC, Rook, it looks a bit like the health dropship from ROTS. The overall ship is great, but the bubble turret and canopy don't fit in. Very good.
ExoBuilder Posted October 4, 2008 And so he lives up to his title...
NewRight Posted October 4, 2008 Really nice. I love the size of it. Great work.!
Manta Posted October 5, 2008 It looks very good. I saw this on MOCpages yesterday, and now I have to comment on it. Great job, I enjoy your use of pieces, and how it looks like a K in a way.
Lego12 Posted October 5, 2008 That is great! I like how detailed it is! It looks just like the actual thing! Good job! Lego12
KimT Posted October 5, 2008 Stunning work Rook. If this is your first try, then I can't wait to see the final version. How do you find the time to sit down and do these great MOCs?
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted October 6, 2008 pretty good.

Like I said plenty of things wrong with it. I need to build up my white brick collection before I try this again. Mars Mission sets here I come! Stunning work Rook.If this is your first try, then I can't wait to see the final version. How do you find the time to sit down and do these great MOCs? I am a fast builder. With no kids and a wife that works long shifts. Lots of time to myself. That is really amazing. Could you possibly post a size-comparison picture. Compared to what? It's wind span is about 2-2.5 feet. And its' maybe 18 inches long. A little longer then the last Y-wing if that helps. Edited October 6, 2008 by Rook
slimninj4 Posted October 8, 2008 Would the large wings of the MM sets work with this? I did not know of this ship in the Star Wars universe until now. I think you did a great job. This is a massive bomber.

slimninj4 Posted October 10, 2008 Massive!? Clearly you haven't seen my work. Thanks though glad you liked it. Massive in size not scale (or is that opposite). I looked the bomber up in the wiki. Much larger than most of the ships the rebels use.
Tim Bit Posted October 11, 2008 Amazing it's stunning... I mean wooow. That looks alot like the reference its beautiful.

Mr Man Posted February 29, 2012 Nice work. This appeared in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 game, in a mod for PC It did (Dark Times II I think). But not really a good reason to bump a topic from 2008 .
