One word:

FILE0092.jpg

Blue?! *huh*

Actually, I like it. I say one of these on Legeux's ships, and wondered what they were.

Besides, tricornes were made of felt. I'm sure you could dye it while you rubbed it with mercury. :pir_laugh2:

It's a fairly good ship, but it could use two things: Better color scheme, more detail.

Get rid of the gun ports (?) on the sides, replace them with shot rails and put, say, 2 small custom guns per side.

Thanks for the Comment, What are Shot rails?

Sorry. I meant short rails. Maybe yu could put swivel guns on the stern or bow.

What colour should the ship be?

What colour should the ship be?

I know that this is a pirate sloop, but I might suggest giving it a traditional yellow/white stripe that is so prominent among ships of the King's Navy. Also, I'd make the deck brown if you can.

Heck, maybe go with the candy-color styling of ships like the Lady Washington or the Royal Charlotte (one of my favorite ships, I might add)

Sure, but I don't think a LEGO tricorne would turn blue when you rub it with mercury. :pir_laugh2:

My point is, is this an official LEGO tricorne or one of those clone parts you mentioned, Joey?

You didn't get it. REAL tricornes are felt, rubbed with mercury to stiffen them. Top hats were made the same way. You could just dye it blue in real life, as felt can be bought in different colors.

*runs off to buy a blue tricorn*

Joey, the bloke with the Blue tricorn is holding a supposedly treasure map.

I've never seen it before, is it a custom or an official piece?

It's from Inacabana Jones.

Inacabana Jones?

A blue tricorner?

Do they come in other colours too (apart from the official brown and black)?

Bluebeard, out-

Bluebeard, out-

Inacabana is a purposeful butchering from MAD magazine's Indian Jones 4 parody.

And no, the blue tricorne is a clone. I have, however, seen offical tricornes in red, as test pieces.

This is one of those threads, so let's keep this short.

1. Nice Blue hat.

2. Nice ship.

Now it's time to make like a banananananana...nanana-nananana...na and split.

Staudernanana.

This is a very decent ship.

I looks exactly like a sloop should look.

You've done a good job with the color schema.

Also the figurehead looks nice like it is now.

A fine ship!

My only suggestion would be to add a bit more crew.

A sailing ship like this one can't be handle by only 3 crew members :pir-wink:
