The Cobra Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Set data 6013: Samurai swordsman Year: 1998 Subtheme: Ninja Pieces: 13 + 1 extra (Helmet Samurai Horn) Price: Euro 4 circa, MISB, including S/H, on eBay Building time: less than 5 minutes. More info: Bricklset - Peeron. I stopped buying Lego in 1986; i started again in 2007. That makes a lot of dark years! And a lot of missed subthemes. I had another Ninja set, but I thought I wouldn't skip this one. Box front 3 more sides of the box Content BIG poster scans The minifig Built set The spear was in the box. But where is my flag??????????????????? The naked spear "Tobe! Ore no hata mitsukerou!" (thanks to Monica for the translation) My first thought was: No instructions? No problem! Then I guessed the flag was in the instructions sheet. But I found no instructions on the internet either. So the point is: I bought a MISB set and one piece was missing. And not a 1x2 plate, but something more rare and expensive. Damn. The set itself is good, simple, cheap. As usual, a 1x2 plate and a 1x2 brick will take place if the horse doesn't have the saddle. Good colour choice (black and blue ALWAYS work great together); great torso and head pieces too. I don't think I would have bought the larger sets, but the small Ninja products were great. (search the forums for other member's review, or check the index). Looks like a standard in my reviews, but I also rate this one 4/5. Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Nice job. Ninjas was a cool theme I hope it comes back one day.. Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 This is a very nice Ninja set, which featured a samurai. A great army building set, which include a full Samurai outfit plus a horse. I can't find any flaws on this set. I will love to buy multiple sets of these without a blink of my eyes. I am a Ninja lover as well. Quote
Norro Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 The best part of this set (assuming you have a few samurai and aren't an army builder) is the cool mini poster/brochure. I wish they still included those... God Bless, Nathan Quote

I wish they still included those... Norro, I agreed with you. The mini poster or brochure are fanastic and is great for pin up. For exampe, in the 6083 Samurai Stronghold, it included this mini poster as well which I had included in the review. Quote
AwesomeStar Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I got this set!!!!! It was my first Lego set I think.. I remember my dad showing me how to build it. Quote
KimT Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Thanks for the review. I have this set myself and it's a great addition to the Ninja theme. The only thing that annoys me is the banner. I can't stand the plastic used..I'd much rather have canvas banners. Review has been indexed Quote
Manta Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Ninja sets are always great, it is the set I want back, even more than pirates possibly? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 (edited) That's a very nice review, The Cobra! I voted for Outstanding: This set includes everything you need for a good ninja knight. Plus an included horse it's a great opportunity for ninjy army building (I only own one until now - but surely I'll buy some more in the future)!
