Please consider moving 15D and 56C (currently under Sloop: Bermuda Rigged) to a separate category for non-seafaring vessels. They\'re very out-of-place amongst all the \"normal,\" pirate-era ships and craft.

Also, almost all of the ships in the Polacca section are actually galleons.

See:

The 6286 SES is a good example of a Galleon.

I may need to add a Polacca post for 65C...

Also maybe I should add in the links to the Non-MOC lego sets in their correct ship type?

thanks for the feedback.

You might add a link to this sorted-by thread in the pined Indexes post like:
issues
1:  I am having a problem typing the following ships
I can't find a picture of them rigged
2: The RTS Legitor is not indexed  Kurt's ship MOCs I want to add it to monitors.
3: I know of other interesting ships out there in the web, what's the procedure?
Done! :pir-classic:
1. Um... they could go under what you think they'd look like when rigged, or you could have an unsorted section at the end, for all the odds and ends that don't fit anywhere really (like Phred's turtle sub and my steampunk ship).
2. Added! 67d
3. Just post a link here and they'll find their way in.

I was under the impression it was a bark :pir-blush: Then again, I don't know much about ships at all.

You meant 67C (I added 67D as well), BUT you linked it to the brickshelf gallery not to this thread.

I am updated to 67D

Current issues

1: 67c is linked it to the brickshelf gallery not to http://www.eurobrick...?showtopic=7483.

2: The list of MOCs that should go in are here:
http://www.eurobrick...rt=#entry413011

3. I will start adding the the Lego sets by type.

Now Done: If I have missed any LEGO set I should not have let me know.

4: For anyone, If you think I have miss-typed a ship, please reply here and tell me what I didn't see, best if you can add a link to a picture that shows that point.

Done up to 74b

issues:

1: You skipped this one:

Catamaran
http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=2127552

was there some reason?, like to modern?

2: Links to Non-English language ship type reference info, how should we handle this?

http://commons.wikim...guage_templates
Says not to use flags any longer, OK.  It says to use:
http://en.wikipedia....i/Language_code
leads to here:
http://en.wikipedia....TF_language_tag

This site:
http://www.langtag.net/

and this tool:
http://people.w3.org.../utils/subtags/

I could add some thing like:

Links to language specific ship type reference info:
en English nl  Dutch, Flemish

and add more as people find them. What do you'all think?

3. If I have missed any LEGO set I should not have please let me know.

4: Please if any of my links don't work let me know.

5: If you think I have miss-typed a ship, please reply here and tell me what I didn't see, best if you can add a link to a picture that shows that point.

Yes, that one is too modern. It belongs more in a modern day city.

There was this post:

And he posted it to the MOCs sorted by thread, SlyOWL moved it to this thread.
Away he raised a good point, even the most fluent english language reader might find the ship type terminology to be a challenge should the thread help you out with links:

2: Links to Non-English language ship type reference info, how should we handle this?

http://commons.wikim...guage_templates

Says not to use flags (you know those little flags you can click on, on a multi-language web site) any longer, OK.
It says to use:

leads to here:
http://en.wikipedia....TF_language_tag

This site:
http://www.langtag.net/

and this tool:
http://people.w3.org.../utils/subtags/

This is what I propose to do, I could add some thing like this near the top of the first post in MOCs sorted by types index thread:

-----------------------------

Links to language specific ship type reference info:
en English nl  Dutch, Flemish

-----------------------------

and add more as people find them. What do you'all think?

More clear now?

euhm... I start to think about me getting offended, I posted that just BEFORE it got moved. Beside when I posted it I noticed more simular posts which included for example pictures of non-lego items. I think personally it's very handy to have a website (even if it's in a language you might not be able to read, it aint like it's japanese or something) that shows good sized pictures of ships that actually excisted and in some cases showing even multiple views. These ships are not only Dutch builds but also English, French, Spanish and even American ships. Only difference is that these are the Dutch names and in most cases even orriginal names, like 'clipper', it's 100% Dutch word, nothing American or english about it. There are many more examples in there that have this, so please stop complaining and enjoy the info. LEGO building is not only about the build if you talk in history, but also the research. That means that you might have to do some translating, if you can't translate for some way (or just to lazy to get a free online translator) you could always ask the Dutch people on this forum to solve your problem.

Another thing is you added something about flemmish, sorry to say but there is nothing flemmish about that text at all. it's 100% true Dutch, flemmish is more Dutch/French. Or like some say bad Dutch. (no offense ment in this tho, just saying what alot think)

Disregard if I missed this vessel in the index.

I figured this vessel is MOC Ship Index worthy.  Especially since there are some flying ships. :pir-wink:

Picture is a link to the thread in the Other Lego Themes forum.  It's the clipper Cutty Sark.
