From what I understand, the new Indy sets are supposed to be around for the movie, so they are slotted for a May release. New Star Wars will probably still hit in July/August. But I think new Castle is supposed to be showing up in the US any day now. I passed for now. I'm going down to the LEGO store in a couple weeks and plan on getting it there where I can get rewards stamps Quote

Yeah it's not fair, they have the sets earlier, they have more (or all of the?) exclusives and cheaper LEGO prices, sometimes even allmost 50% cheaper if you look at Euro to dollar exchange rates (and allmost cheaper prices at just about everything, like fuel etc.). And they still have the guts to complain! The unfair price-difference is one of the reasons I hardly buy new sets anymore. At least you guys in Europe and Australia have Castle already. I can't wait for those to be out in the US. Were the other new IJ sets there too or just this one? Deinonychus Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Deinonychus, were any other new Indy sets on the shelfs, if so what were their prices, as I can probally convert the US price into the Canadian price, by comparing the price tag of other sets (both Canadian and US price tags) that have the same price tag as the new Indy sets have. Unfortantally I think I'll have to skip this set, and instead get the new exclusive airplane since to me the plane looks like a better set (and I'm a bit low for funds so I can't get both ). The Temple was the only one there. Anyof the others I'd have picked up to get that first review up. And it was $79.99 US. As for the USA getting stuff first, others have mentioned Castle 08. And I'll never forget those agonizing months where I wasn't even sure if the US would get Vikings and I was setting up deals with people in the UK to get me sets before it was revealed they'd be late-year TRU exclusives. Besides, getting sets later allows you to save up for them longer Quote

browniedjhs Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Hey guys- just updated over at FBTB I picked up #7624 Jungle Duel tonight- saw all but the biggest of the sets- the temple prices where $9.98, $19.98 and $39.86 sorry for the cell phone pic like i said i got the Jungle duel- I just wanted to get the cheapest set since i picked up 5 more star wars figs tonight- I took some box shots tonight, I will try to upload them. I should find some time to build tomorrow and get a review up. what i think this is, is a direct violation of a hold date- I used to see hold dates all the time working at TRU, and if i had to guess, this indy stuff probably shouldn't be out untill next weekend or the one after that- heck might not be untill first week of may, since the movie is still a month out. I wish i could have grabbed the others, but we know how that goes. If you see them guys! grab them cus I think this was a mistake take care guys br()wnie Quote
