(I-19) Phegy
Posted Image

Phegy just crossed the border between the kingdom of the crownknights and the Dark Forests. he was riding on one of the  big roads, famous for their brigands. Even though the king often sent patrols to find and kill them, they kept coming back. people never traveled alone on these roads. Exept Phegy. He was trained by some of the best warriors of the Forestmen, and when he was fifteen years old, he could beet most of them. He wasn't sure where these skills came from, but he thought it might have had something to do with his mysterious background.
The Forestmen had found him somewhere in the woods when he was only two years old. they did not tell him where they found him, and why he was there. That was also one of his reasons to visit the people he grew up with.

Suddenly he was surrounded by a group of mean looking brigands armed with knives and swords.
'pretty horse you've got there' One of the men, probably their leader, said.
'And you look like you are carriying some money-..'
Before the brigand knew it, his head was gone from his neck. Phegy fought his way through the stupid brigands, who tried to revenche the dead of their leader. They were no match for him. When ten or so of them were lying dead or wounded on the ground, the rest fled into the forest. Phegy didn't take the effort to chase them and continued his journey.

IC ANTIRRHOPUS L-7

"I would be honored to...wait...wait I feel..."

L7 Air Marshals Dragon stable

Grim looks down on the unresponsive body in front of him.

"That was unexpected..." he muttered. Taking decisive action, he ran to the doorway and shouted,"Runner! Fetch Majiko, the wizard doctor. And hurry!"

The runner sped off, as Grim turned back to Antirrhopus. "What is the problem?" asked Blazewing. "I am not used to humans suddenly collapsing in front of me".

"Majiko will be here shortly, he will tell us what has happened".

A few minutes later, Majiko wandered in. "It's about time" growled Grim. "What took so long?"

"I was in the middle of telling off a young scaly wag for interrupting my spell casting practice". He bent over the boy.

"So, Majiko, what is the situation?".

::Something within Antirrhopus' neck pouch begins to emit a strange glow...which soon spreads to his entire body. The lifeless eyes suddenly blaze a brilliant red as the body begins to levitate within it's emerald light. An otherworldly voice seems to come from the very air itself ::

NPC VOICE L7

"Look upon my cruel vengeance and fear! My blood and the blood of my brothers cries out for retribution. And finally, after countless millenia our souls have once more found anchor within this world through the machinations of one of your own. The Dragons will once more rule this land, and you vermin who wished to dominate us will be reduced to ash and bone."

::With that, the green glow flares brightly around Antirrhopus, consuming his clothes and flesh. The glow dissipates, dropping the scoured bones of the Dragon tender to the ground, the ancient Claw of Krayt fused into the sternum bone::

   *skull* *skull* *skull*

NPC SKELETON MESSENGER O-17

:: A clanking horse approaches Scourge's camp. The Skeleton rider quickly dismounts and shambles over to Scourge ::

"Commander, a message from our Liege. He wishes to inform you that he has established contact with the deceased spirit of the ancient dread Dragon menace Krayt. Through this, he has gained the assistance of several black and red dragons for our cause. He felt this information may aid you in your negotiations with the Orcs.

IC SCOURGE

"Very well. You're dismissed"

::As the messenger mounts up and heads back towards the Skeleton Tower, Scourge takes out his whetstone and sharpens a combat dagger::

...the air is now open to us as an avenue of attack. This changes everything...

i - 7, Still heading east to dragon lands.

Edmond and Armod were still on their way to the Dragon Master capitol. Edmond was starting to get frustrated with the details of the plan. He couldn't quite figure out how to check all the dragons. He had thought about asking the caretakers, but that could take awhile. So his thoughts ran until a brilliant idea came to his mind. But, I will not discuss that right now, as it's better to be a surprise.

Before I go on with this scene I feel obligated to inform you that Edmonds sole amusement when he was younger was to practice his fighting skills. With that in mind, Edmond and Armod were traveling quickly as they were unfamiliar with the country, being strangers there. Suddenly they were jumped by four strange men. Edmond reached down with his left hand and grabbed the handle of his throwing axe in a quick reaction.

Armod also noticed the attackers and flipped his spear over the saddle and caught on of his attackers in the chest killing him before the assailant could finish his blow. Hearing someoneones footsteps running up to him he wheeled his horse around to find a sword coming at his waist. He pushed himself back off the saddle to the rear of the horse only barely missing the stab. With a quick roll he dismounted his horse on the opposite side of his attacker. Drawing his sword Armod jumped to his feet and began a fierce duel with his antagonist.

While Armod was fighting two of the assailants Edmond had grabbed his throwing axe and had thrown it catching the attacker in the throat, killing him instantly. Quickly preparing his shield and spear he then charged his last opponent much like a knight would with a lance. I might go on to add all the little things about the charge to make it seem glorious, but it wasn't. All that happened was that the marauder got the spear in his head. He never did stand much chance against a spear held by an expert warrior who was on horse back. As soon as this unfair tournament was over Edmond rode over to the guy he killed with his axe and bending over drew it out of the body while he was riding. He then rode over to where Armod was still fighting the last attacker. Using the handle of the axe hit the poor fellow sending him to his dreams.

Armod then looked at Edmond and asked. "You didn't kill him, did you?" Edmond then replied. "No, when he wakes up we will question him though. Tie him up and then let us move these bodies out of the way." He concluded. They then proceeded to destroy all the traces of astruggle, for they didn't want to anger the inhabitants. While thus employed Edmond noticed that none of them carried any sign of where they came from, except one solitary letter that was encoded. But as he didn't have the cipher it was unhelpful. Burying the dead they stripped them of all their valuables. Their only valuables were money and a couple of rings, which were very generic and would be hard to trace. The only thing else worth noting in this encounter was that they only carried swords, probably because they were easy to conceal.

Location: M-20 Dwarven city of Eradim, Capital of the Thunderhammer Clan.

Chief Tyrius stood at a balcony of his castle in the Underground city. He stood with Thorius, his advisor and looked down at the legions of dwarves standing below him. The Thunderhammer Clan was the Largest Dwarven Clan in the realm, but not the richest, although the Dwarves had many soldiers, they did not have enough to purge the Orcs and Undead from their mines, that was why they forged an Alliance with the Crown Kingdom.

Tyrius turned and climbed into the battletank at the head of the column of Dwarves, it was time to foray into Orc Territory.

"To Me! Rally under the flag of the Thunderhammers, for our clan!"

The arrayed Dwarves head forward towards the gates of the city and camp on the border of Orcish territory in 3 days.

They stood at the top of a mountain looking down upon an Orcish city, it was time for the Orcs to pay. Though the Dwarves would watch the city before attacking, they would wait a few weeks before, knowing the secrets of the city and it's inhabitants. He remembered the banished Dwarven Rogue named Dimple Chubb-Bobbins that had been exiled, he wondered if the Dwarf was still alive.

L7 The Claw of Belstrain, private dinning room

Posted Image

Dragonator sat in silence, pondering the plans he had begun to put into motion. So far, things were going well. The meesengers were out, and it was looking promising as to the outcome of his efforts. Finally, his last 10 years work was to come together.

Posted Image

*Knock* My lord?

Posted Image

Come. What is your news?
Grim entered the room.

Posted Image

Not good my lord. The tender I selected suddenly died and gave me a message. As a result, Blazewing is in a state of shock and is not prepared for a long journey.

What was the message?

Grim relayed the message to Dragonator. When he had finished, he waited patiently for his masters orders. Dragonator was thinking.

I see. It looks like I will have to fast track my plans. Inform the King that I am going on a... holiday to visit some friends. He must not learn the truth. He may be crazy, but he could still see through this. Have my carriage prepared, I shall begin the journey to Dronimdur tomorrow. The messengers should be at least halfway to their destinations now, using my the 'fast route'. (this is the road that the Royal courier uses, at regular intervals it has an outpost with fresh horses, so the messenger can literally gallop the whole way.)

As my lord commands. Grim headed off to see about his duties.

Posted Image

Dragonator sat for a moment. That could only be Krayt, speaking through that boy, he thought to himself. I would have thought he'd have learn't his lesson from last time. I shall just have to deal with him once again.

Standing, Dragonator collected his cape and sword from the corner and signaling to Galcor, proceeded to walk towards the door.

I will need to go visit the dragons before I leave. You do not need to accompany me.

Posted Image

As Galcor nodded his acceptance, Dragonator had a thought. One part of Krayt's message would come true.
Dragons would once again have a major standing in the world.

Fershwitz Boran had successfully given the Orc Leader the news, it was official, the orc and Skeleton Kingdoms were once more united. This was joyful news, too bad it was dashed by the next bit: A small but powerful dwarf attack faction led by Chief Tyrius Thunderhammer had been spotted advancing on the Orc territory. Tyrius was a known threat, hated by all Orc kind for his slaughtering of their houses. Though his fleet would be defeated, much damage could be done.

The Leader was quick to send Fershwitz on his next mission, to travel and meet Adym Wrenchmonger to better learn of the Dwarven and Crown mind. He would stage as a kindly refugee, Crownies were known to be generally nice people, and Fershwitz would find this man....

(H-20) Phegy
Posted Image

Phegy left the road and started to ride through the forest. the only way to get to the forestmen was by crossing the dark forests, ful of mysterious things and brigands. Phegy had been in this forest a lot of times, so he was not worried at all.
He found the small path he was looking for and followed it for hours. nothing special happened, the forest was silent exept for the singing birds and other animals.
Phegy stopped at a spring to give his horse some rest and drink some water. it was a beautifull place, the spring was surrounded with rocks and trees.
After a long break, Phegy mounted his horse and followed the path again.

Chief Tyrius Thunderhammer survayed the arrayed Dwarves, he was standing on the newly built Battletank, the old one had broken down and had to be fixed back up. He looked over the edge of the cliff and noticed an Orc and a warband entering the city, he smiled and nodded to the Dwarves, they loaded the Mining Catapults and fired a volley of flaming missiles towards the Village, he would fire a volley each day until the Orcs came out to fight, or die.

Lord Kenneth is riding his steed into the forest of Black Knights Kingdom. Thinking back on the King's order, his mission was to investigate the southern part of the kingdom. Citizens have been complaining that this area is no longer safe. Therefore, Lord Kenneth brings his fellow archers and his tactical advisor, Sir Percival Ranting. Kenneth wants to explore the troubled area before making a decisive decision on the situation.

As the group walks deeper into the forest, it starts to get darker. Suddenly, a gruesome lone wolf pounced onto them. Kenneth said to his men" Men, defensive position now!" All of his archers fall back and take cover. Kenneth and Percival went into offense position. The archers are supporting the commanders as backup. The lone wolf's look so hungry and fierce. Without hesitation, he jumped and attacks Percival. Percival defended himself with his shield. The archers fired their shots. Kenneth swings his sword and pushed the wolf back. The wolf was overwhelmed by the group's power and the wolf quickly retreated into the forest. Kenneth looks to Percival and said "Are you alright, my friend?" Percival smiled and said" I am fine. Everyone let's gear up and move on. We should be reaching at the nearest tavern ahead". Lord Kenneth and his group moving downwards, hope to get some rest soon.

IC: Count Location M-17

The Count looked up at the Skeleton Tower high above him.  He did not shudder, or even show a glimpse of fear at the prospect of meeting with the Necromancer, the Evil Wizard.  What was there to fear?

"Lacking in detail," he said aloud.  "I would have used more pillars and less--lava."

"Quiet," growled the Skeleton General.  "You asked to see the Wizard, and he has accepted.  Get in and shut up."

"Very well, my vulgar friend," the Count replied, stepping off his chariot and entering the Skeleton Tower through its skull gateway.  Once inside, he headed up the stairs, followed by the Skeleton General.  At the top of the stairs, he found himself inside a black throne room--on his throne sat the Evil Wizard.

"Necromancer," the Count said, bowing.  "I bring word from Wizardo."

"That imbecile?" the Wizard snarled.  "What does he want now?"

"He has sent me, the Count of Counts, to win you the crown lands through guile rather than force."

Behind him, the Skeleton General guffawed.

"And you can achieve this how?" the Evil Wizard asked.

"By capturing the King himself," said the Count.

The Skeleton General could contain himself no longer--he burst into laughter.

"Capture the King!" he cried.  "Ha!"

The Wizard held up a hand.

"How?" was all he asked.

"I was hoping we could come to that," murmured the Count.  "I was once a tutor--I taught the princess, his daughter.  I am trusted in their court.  I will steal her, he will chase her, and we will get him."

"We have tried this plan before," said the Skeleton General.  "The King would come with an army.  You can't take him alive or dead."

"We will steal him at night."

"And how do you propose my skeletons avoid being caught?" said the Wizard.  "They are not masters of stealth, or ninjas."

"Your skeletons will do nothing but create confusion," said the Count, "While the land's greatest thieves, murderers, and cutthroats slip into the King's ranks and escape with him."

"How do you intend to kidnap the princess?" said the Wizard, intrigued.  "They say that only ninjas or the like have the power to sneak into guarded Palaces.  You are no ninja."

"Do thieves count as ninjas?" asked the Count.

"Possibly," replied the Wizard.

-----------------

Johnny the Shadow Knight crept silently into the Monkey Troupe Inn.  He had heard of hirees in here willing to do anything for pay.  He figured the count could pay them to do whatever vile thing he had planned.  At least, he hoped so.

Theldor woke up with a jolt, not remembering what had happened. He stared into the face of Jorund and asked "What happened?" He slowly got to his feet, looking to see who had survived. Not many, only seven. Orgir's right hand was completely gone, a scythe had cut it off. Suddenly, something screamed "Sowafihapip aaoi!" A worried viking asked:"What da' 'ell wus zat?" "Me." Boy! Get a move on!

Yes, father.

As the group rounded the river bend Manos struggled to get past the rough young pines and catch up with the the pack.  Three on the other side of the river were already getting camp setup and the merry tune of Bombos' flute set the nearby birds to short flight and then to a song of their own.  With just a few precious minutes left in the day camp would need to be set and the fires lit while wood could still be found.

Be careful with those skins.  And you three need to get another bundle each of the slow burning and mind that it isn't wet this time.

Captain, we have seen no trace of the kitties*1 or the pomp*2, and the tail hasn't returned but should with the hour.

Wonderful, a night of peace and leisure.  Double our rations for the evening and set the first watch.

Yes captain.

With quick and worn breathing Manos makes his way across the rock strew portion of the river and up to his father.  Being allowed to travel with the pack has proved to be harder than he thought two moons ago when he was first allowed to join, but each day the long travel and training became less of a burden.  Now with the moon glow out shining the failing rays of the sun, with a merry tune and the first sniff of the hunt being roasted over the fire, he was glad to be in such pain.  Were he away from his father and back on the farm it would have been unbearable, but out here in the woods with new friends and adventure on every side, no pain would lower his spirits.

Father, tell us the story of Great Fang tonight, I should say will you?

No, not tonight.  That is a story for hard times.  Tonight we will sing of blessings and the peace which we have fought for and now enjoy.  A toast to you all!

And with that they each raised the wooden bells*3, drank and with great baying, howled into the night sky.

(stepping in for vampire attack)

The smell of fresh blood in the air had driven them out of the swamp, and with a bloodlust no man may ever know, the vampires circled round ready to feast on the survivors.

With great speed and effort they rushed at the leaders giving great battle with only bared hands and teeth.  Never seeking to destroy their food, they fight on long enough to distract the strong warriors while the remaining vampires steal away with three of the weakened fighters.  Then as quickly as they came on, the vampires rushed off through the mists to their secret hiding place to feast on the sweet mead soaked flesh of viking warriors.

(H-22)Phegy

After two more days of travelling, Phegy finally arrived at the village of his parents.  Not much had changed since his last visit
almost 6 years ago.
He dismounted his horse and walked to one of the huts that were built in the little clearing.
he knocked on the door. His mother opened the door.
'Phegy! what a surprise! how are you?'
'I'm fine, how are things going here in the forest?'
'nothing special, just like always.' 'your father is hunting right now, but he will be back soon.
do you want something to drink?'

Later That day Phegy was sitting round a table with his parents, eating a delicious meal.
'There is something we have to tell you..' His father said dubitative. 'you know we found you in the forest when you was two years old, right?'
'Yes..?'
'Eeh.. well... you was not the only one we found...'
'How do you mean?'
'We found a group of dead elves.. and some dead trolls as well. They killed your family, but they probably didn't see you, You're an elf, Phegy..'
'But why didn't you tell me earlier?'
'We were afraid you would leave us to live with the other elves'
'That's not a good reason at all! why didn't you tell me when i left home to travel around the continent?'
'But Phegy, you have to understand...'
'What is the real reason? tell me now!!'
'Ok.. I'm sorry I lied to you, the real reason we didn't tell you anything is because our leader forbade us to tell you anything about this.
I'n not sure why..'
'Then we will go ask him right now!'
'No, we can't.. the old man died years ago..'

'anyways, we have something for you' His mother said. She walked to one of the other rooms and came back with a backpack.'

(M, 19) Teythar Lag

Teythar pondered his work as he patroled the area in the Crown Knights kingdom known as Vineland.  As the Royal Steward of Vineland, it was his job to keep order in and enemies out.  This sometimes became difficult, as Vineland was on the border of the Undead kingdom.  However, the people of Vineland were friendly and helped patrol to keep their area safe.

Teythar flinched and equipped his mace from his saddle as he heard a noise through the woods, but relaxed as he saw only the famed hunter known as Ark come through on horseback.

"Greetings Ark!" Teythar called out, "How goes the hunting today?"

"The hunt is off through the week!" a grouf Ark responded, "The undead have intruded in through the borders in small numbers.  We're out here to keep them away!"

Dismounting, Teythar thought about the last time the undead had come into the Crown Knights kingdom.  There was a long war between the two factions.  Teythar did not want to relive the conflict.  The two then turned to face yet another figure approaching.  It was John, one of the older but more able residents of Vineland.

"Indeed," John began, "The undead are here again.  I just smited a small group oer by yonder stream.  Perhaps they have united under a new leader?"

"Well whatever it is," Teythar responded, "don't worry to much about it.  I'll send it for a Passe to come out and drive the vermin from our land.  In the meantime go back to your regular buisness, but stay on the lookout for the undead!  Don't hesitate to eliminate any you see."

As the group began to break up, Teythar mounted his horse and set off for his small home in the heart of Vineland, with a mind to send for reinforcements against the Undead.  He could have never known who, or what, was watching him converse with the people of Vineland, and who was sure to report to his master in the Undead land...

As Teythar neared his home, he thought about his job as Vineland's steward.  He wanted something more, something that could affect the entire country...the entire continent...He wanted powerful friends with armies.  But he knew that in reality all of this was nonsense and he would have to stick with Vineland for much of his young adult life, never having any affect on the world at large.

Siloux de Fraun will talk in Green: #2E8B57  Black for narration

Continuing on, Siloux commented on the wizard he had passed by.

That old man was nice, too bad he did not give his name nor was interested in purchasing/bartering my goods. Hmmmm... Oh! I forgot, I must make an inventory of my goods.

Here we go:

3 Steel Swords
4 Wooden Spikes
2 Axes
5 rolls of cloth
3 Hammers
4 Iron Daggers

That looks like a good amount. I hope that I can sell it or barter it for more goods.

Siloux continued walking by, until he saw a post. He tacked a poster on there and looked at it later. It read:

Towne Ahead

Oh, good! A towne! maybe my goods will be good for some. If not, I can resupply my food and continue along.

"Finally, we are in a tavern. Hmm, One Leg Tavern, what a weird name" one of the archers said. "Percival, please make the arrangements with the innkeeper. We will be staying here for the night." said Kenneth. "Yes, my Lord" and Percival went to speak with the innkeeper. There were many commoners’ merry making, drinking beer and singing songs. Kenneth thought to himself, "I wish every country will have peace and our people will have a stable life". Suddenly, an old and worn woman bumped into him and fell onto the floor. Without hesitation, Kenneth went ahead and lifted her up. The old woman smiled and said "Young man, you are a kind person by nature. In your journey, there will be many treacherous people lurking around. Beware of them. Dangers are everywhere, young man. Take this. It may aid you in your future." Kenneth holds it in his hands and examined it. It was a jade pendant, showing a green shine. Jade is not common in these areas. It was originated in the far eastern lands. "My Lord, the accommodations are ready" said Percival. Kenneth turned his head and said "Tell the men to have an early rest." And he turned his head back, the old woman was gone. Kenneth asked Percival in a quick tone “Did you saw an old woman beside me?" Percival replied immediately "No, my Lord. There was none beside you at all." Kenneth was surprised by his reply and looked at his palm. The jade pendant is indeed under his possession. "My friend, it's nothing. Maybe, I am exhausted." said Kenneth. Percival smiled, "My Lord, food is served, let's have our meal while it's hot." Kenneth went forth with Percival and thought to himself "Was that an illusion just now? It seemed too real for one."

L13 Black Knights Fortress; Throne Room

Mike had finally arrived. The Journey had been long, and he still needed to travel on to the Crownies Kingdom, but he had completed the first leg of his Journey. By now, other messengers like him would be arriving at the Black Falcons and KK2 kingdom to deliver this same message.

Rise for his majesty, king of the Black Knights!

The king entered and sat at his throne. Speak, messenger, what news do you bring?

Mike stood up. He was feeling a bit nervous, but this was his moment. I...ya...um... *blush*

The king raised his eyebrows, so Mike thought he'd better get on with it.

I am the bearer of greetings from Dragonator, Senior Councilor of the Dragon Masters. He requests your presence at a gathering of great importance to agree upon the re-creation of the Old-Alliance. The heads of each faction and/or other representatives will be there. Dragonator understands that your kingdom has fallen upon hard times, as has ours, and proposes to work with you, our closest and most loyal friends, to bring about the great majesty that was once the center of the Alliance.

I have been expecting this message. I will of course be there, and may bring with me some others that I deem to be able to help our shared cause. Allow me to offer you refreshment, I understand you have a long journey ahead of you yet.

Yes, I must be gone within the hour. Dragonator will meet you at the agreed upon location in Dronimdur (M10), and will meet with you there at the chosen date.

Excellent, I look forward to it. Do not let me detain you any longer, you still have an important message to carry.

(M, 19), Vineland of the Crown Knights.

Teythar Lag stood by the side of the road.  It was the biggest road through Vineland, yet it was still covered in grass most of the length of the road.  But Teythar was not looking at the road, he was waiting for his reinforcements against the Undead.  He had been here for much of the day, and he began to doze...

A thud thud thud of Hoofs against Turf awoke him, and he looked up to see a lone rider on a brown horse, dressed in Crown Knight's armor slowing upon reaching him.
Posted Image

"Hello, Steward of Vineland!" the rider called out, "Is this not Teythar Lag with whom I speak?"

Teythar acknowledged while the rider dismounted, "Yes, this is Teythar, steward of Vineland, defender of the Crown Knight's kingdom.  How many have you preceeded?"

"Preceeded!?" The soldier questioned astonishingly, "Nay, I am your sole reinforcement!  Together we will push the Undead back from whence they came!"

Teythar stood stricken in the turf, wondering about a great many things.
Posted Image

"Did my message not arrive to the Royal King?" Teythar inquired, "I sent it only yesterday!"

"Indeed," The soldier confirmed, "The message did arrive.  I was dispatched by his Majesty himself!"

"But so few, just you and I to defend all of Vineland!  An army of at least 50 men is needed for such a task!" Teythar stated.

The soldier leaned in closer to Teythar and said in a soft voice, "The Crown is desperately short of men at arms these days.  We beat back the undead, so most think the danger is over.  The army was mostly disbanded.  It will take heros and knights to defend the kingdom now, not the mere soldier.  I am Scot of Vineland.  I was born here, I know the terrain, the places to hide and defend from.  That is why I was sent.  Let us mount and ride off to discuss our plans for defense!"

And so Teythar came to understand, and the two mounted and rode off.

Fershwitz Boran had finally reached the heart of the Crown Kingdom, here he would learn their ways and technology. He had yet to find Adym Wrenchmonger but felt he was nearing his location. Being an Orc in a Crown land wasn't easy, Fershwitz was nearly killed several times across the countryside by more hostile humans. Oh well, though Fershwitz, gives me more of a reason to hate them. He continued his search...
