I decided to do something different so I built an oriental Junk, I am a fan of those cringed sails  :-)

Pietje's impressive dragon ship definately caught my vote  *wub*

The basic yellow, red, green, colours and the oriental-ish style makes it very nice looking, even to a not pirate fan  :-$

I second this - my first ship that I've published isn't as good as I'd have liked it to be - I felt the sail and rigging/ropes let it down a bit. Ah well.  *sad*

I think my entry is even more of a wildcard than Pietje's! I thought about the "Trade" theme for the IMTP ship, and, after watching one of Jamie Oliver's programmes about chicken farming, decided to have parrot smuggling - the cramped conditions e.t.c. After discovering I only have 6 parrots, a brown eagle and an owl, I decided this was not fiesable and moved onto animal smuggling. Then I ran out of animals and ideas. Then Piratical supply. Aha! Perfect. By this stage I'd built the basic boat with half a hull, but needed a reason for it to exist - it is too flimsy to be a fighter and too large to be an escape boat, so a trader instead.

Um...technically I didn't use the hull piece as I don't actually have it, but it can fit into the prow and I would have put it there if I had it - it would have made it much stronger...

And I can't take any more pictures as I've already dismantled it...

'Fraid not - I vaporise all my models as soon as they're on Brickshelf, and that hull is one hard build! It kept exploding on me  :'-(  But I can get them for free on MLCad, so here's the version, with how I would have used the hull piece, if I had it -
