Back on track ( :-D ):
Lets see, first who wouldNOT use Guns:
Jay: a viking hates guns, they fight with blades (...)
Darth Ewok: only knows wooden and stone stuff, would be afraid of a gun, he would run off with a piercing Yub, Yub
XwingYoda: would use the Force or a light saber but no blasters nor guns and he IS a man of peace
Therefore, the rest would/could use guns
Athos: come on just look the sig, and all the others left.
Now lets consider the Motive (he, he things are getting interesting):
One of them is motive free: Wolfy
I will not comment about our Big Wig (lets not revive old quarels :-D ;) )
Sarg,: board domination + g, what is his title again ;)
Athos is in jeopardy concerning motive
That leaves us with this mysterious & enigmatic Mr M
So only 3 choices possible for now ;)

And the murderer is too smart to use a weapon that would so obviously implicate themself. I think its a red herring.
Who would take the sword from the scabbard, is the question that needs answering...
And lets not disregard Yoda. Even jedi can go bad...
And lets not forget that Sarg is a pirate hunter and Mr. Phes was a pirate. Maybe Mr. Kulo is doing some off season poaching.
Or Darth Ewok is a killer. Albeit of ladies, but lets not forget Mr. Phes' fondness for clickits treasure and impecably decorated ships.
And remember the Brickster. Maybe Mr. Phes found out a little too much about this outlaw?
The game is afoot,
Steve

The enigmatic Mr. M. has boarded the train upon the request of a telegraph from the train conductor. Mr. M. enters the observation room with a pet monkey and introduces himself as a close friend of Mr. Phes who will be escorting the deceased to Prague. "What a sad loss of my old marauding sea partner Phes", he comments. "We shared many o'pirate tales and legends of the sea together, not to mention those most irritating pirate surveys", he adds.
(Mr. Phes, you may assume the role of Mr. M.)
Another Eurobricks member has boarded the train that you all know as Jipay. As he moves to shake hands with Mr. M, he notices a piece of crumpled paper on the floor. He quickly bends down to pick up this possible clue and opens it to discover that the paper is stained badly of coffee but appears that it may have been a list of names.
Unfortunately, only a little of the writing is legible, the 2nd name on the list, Vlad... No more of the script is identifiable. Could this be a clue you wonder...

I still think it's Bloody Jay. Blood----Vikings----closest thing to Vladek...maybe a slave to Vladek pushed to kill?

You do not recognize this man, but he has a dark black beard and wears a puffy shirt similar to that worn by Mr. Phes. He has been shot in the chest and from the look of the blood stain, it may have occured some time ago... You have discovered another murder... :^^D

Is there ONE killer???? The second murder could have been the work of a copycat.
Was that piece of paper a target list??? Surely so we don't know yet the identity of the second victim and a third victim is inevitable.
Because of the ressemblance between the two victims:
Was Phes (RIP buddy ;) ) the one initially targeted???
Does the killer(s) hate beards and puffy shirts???
Where is Miss Marple when you need her :-D ?????

What abut the cutlass ?
It is suggested it could have strong historical value. At that, my bets move to:
Sarg: He's a pirate hunter, and that would make a fine trophy to hang over the mantle.
Bloody Jay: Loot. What Viking doesn't like loot.
Our Ewok: Look at the shiny stick. Its like a stick, but its shiny. How could he resist ?
However, its the notion of historical value that leads me to need to add co-conspirators
Two members of the voard have gone on record as lovers of history: Darkie and myself. Did one of these suspects kill Mister Phes to win a lovely historical treasure to attempt to woo the lovely Darkie (I'm now looking at a lady killer Ewok). Did I, obviously a fan of ninja, ask someone to retrieve another sword for my mantle ?
And why has no one heard these gunshots.
I guess I'll have to tune in and see what happens next.

Mr. M's monkey scratches around the bed and then picks something up from the floor. It appears to be a small piece of scratch paper with the following written on in:
PO Box 70
93464
More clues possibly?

So our dear dead captain had a PO Box paper - we don't have an address!!
who did it belong to, the victim or the murderer?????
Could all this murder frenzy be for treasure hunting????
How funny that this mysterious Mr M knows the victim ;)
So manny questions, so few clues :'(

I think it must be Jay. With a name like Bloody Jay, he must be a killer

I love this thread. What a great way to keep the train forum going.
Anyway I think it's me, and I'm winning. So it must be me.
(No I didn't think too deeply into this)

What a nice song "Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy", a song in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary...
Interesting Indeed: first use of the song was during the first crusades - a war song!!!!
The clues get more and more interesting ;)
Have it anything to do with that strange zip code????
