And here is the story: Raven have tracked a Kawashita scout ship that was hijacked by an alien. She is now waiting for a military team to help take back the ship. Backup arrives Agent Raven, Ma'am. Sergeant Derrek Thorne reporting in. My team and I are ready to take down that alien and rescue our scouts. You only brought two soldiers and a medic? Sorry ma'am, I thought that would be enough to take one alien, and we needed the space to get our scouts back. But we have you so I don't see how it would be a problem. And didn't our scouts kill one of them? We don't know that but we have no time to delay now, you and the medic stay back while I and the troopers... Sir! Movement in the ship. The alien is approaching our scouts. On screan. What? We don't h... Patch it in to my helmet. We move out now. You two with me. Sir. One of the scouts is up... Whait! I think he's attacking the alien! I see! Go, go! All of you. Medic, stay close to Sergeant Thorne. Raven and the team enter the scout ship. You, with me. Pin down that alien. Thorne, check him. Medic, tend to the wounded. Is the alien dead? I don't know. It's still warm. Get that weapon away just in case. The soldier reluctantly pic it up. This scout, Thomson, he's dead. I can't see any fatal damage. It was probably that weird alien weapon. Yeah, I can't even tel which end this thing fire from. Hand it to me before you hurt yourself. Doc? Both over here will survive. He is just in chock, she may have a concussion. Summers, help me get the helmet off. Then I need you to hold her head. I'm taking this weapon to our ship. Doc, make sure the wounded... Ohh, shit! The weapon start glowing. What are you doing!? Nothing! I don't know...! Put it down! Yes. Of course -ZZZAAPPHHH- Raven fall down. Her muscles cramping, her suit's systems crash, trying to reboot only to crash again. What the hell Thorne! It was an accident! I saw you! You shot her! The medic rush over to Raven. Despite the headache, Raven watch on the flickering screens what's about to happen. She try to call out but neither her voice nor com unit is working. Then... Agent Ryan fall down dead. The medic turn around in surprise but it's too late. Sergeant Thorne pic up the alien weapon and point it to Raven. You must be really stubborn to not go down on the first one. I like that. But you won't take a second. -ZZZAAPPHHH- And that's how you kill readshirts I wanted this build to represent the inside the scoutship from last week. And becase I feelt a scoutship had to be fairly small to travel quicky I decided the inside walls should be the same as the outside walls. This made it a bit problematic to mimic the curved shape of the original. At first I thought it looked bad and was too many gaps but then I managed to cover most up nicely with the floor. (It would have been easier to just make a square room but that never stoped me before ) Everything is conected and it's quite sturdy. Here are some pictures of the build without figs: (I know I messed up the color on the stripes) Because it matced the ship from last week I decided to try photoshoping the build inside the ship Here are the pictures without the X-ray effect (I ment to do thermografy on top but it would have been to much work) I also planed to have a spaceship for the team to arrive in but when I was building it, it turned into a fighter with room for only one so I will use it later instead. Because we switched to Ground tactics it's really not that important anyway. It was a tool in photoshop (but I still had to align the pictures) I knew something was shifty as soon as I saw those 'Kawashita' soldiers were wearing Octan Red and White (just like my Octan Marines) Maybe Kawashita buy armor from Octan Raven is very picy with who she work with (to avoid being shot in the back ) and usuly avoid the to japanease influensed troopers with honor stuff, "samurai" armors and droids (She don't trust droids, or Koro) She have worked with Agent Thorne befor when they tock down the Dust demons. (righ, he was in that explosion too. Well, obviusly he survived ) She did NOT see that coming but it wasn't Octan. It's a good thing the rest of us ended up training all week. The droids she doesn't trust, Guys that have extra accesories to make them look like ancent wariors and speaks about honor or "the true way of a warrior" or something like that she just don't care for. Ah well if your referring to my recent Samurai-esque Kawa soldiers, they're not supposed to have extra accessories to make them look like ancient warriors, the idea is more that their armor is just high tech gear but has a very vague resemblance like for example the Gray Knights from Warhammer 40K have a vague resemblance to the plate mail that knights of old used to wear (unless that's what you mean, personally I love that kind of stuff). EpsilonEta Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) It might have been your soldiers I saw but I think I seen it before (especially on mechs). I also want to clarify that I personally don't have a problem with this. The suit in your picture look cool (but a shield on the shoulder and cloth from the hips may be overdoing the platemail /knight armor ) I just noticed I use mostly "standard armor" and non-Japanese looking figs so I guess Raven choose to work with this type of people when she have a choice.
