LittleJohn Posted August 3, 2015 Location: B06-Sorn Tags: Civil, Building, Vehicle, Exploration Job: Explorer This week, I was sent to a MANTIS HQ on Sorn, to explore under the surface. It was teeming with wildlife and plants, some of which I took samples of. There was a boat load of supplies being unloaded too: Lots more pictures here: Link I really like how this build turned out, especially the underwater section. Blackhawk STX Posted August 3, 2015 Wow. Nice landscape, especially underwater. The minifig SCUBA-diving is great. Very well done!
Big Sal Posted August 3, 2015 Wonderful build! I love all the little windows into the underwater section and the base interior

SpacerSteve Posted August 3, 2015 Man you pulled out all the stops this week! It is really neat how you showed underwater through the base. I really like how you made the widows too. I need to try that some time. Great work!
Umbra-Manis Posted August 3, 2015 Awesome build LJ! The dual layer is great!
David FNJ Posted August 4, 2015 Wow John, this is amazing! The underwater section really steals the show! So much to take in.... The curved tan bricks really makes the sea floor look right. Even behind all of that, the rockwork is great, and then we have the HQ with its full interior, the large pipe, and then the boat! Absolutely fantastic work! Garmadon Posted August 5, 2015 Lovely water, boat, and HQ, LJ, but the underwater part is really outstanding! Superb rock-work and underwater life down there, and excellent idea on how to show it!
soccerkid6 Posted August 5, 2015 I think this method of showing above water/underwater is one of the best I've ever seen. Superb details above and below the waves, my favorite being: all the creatures in the water, the little boat being unloaded, and the landing pad on the HQ
