Could we see a pic? That sounds crazy!

Hi,
I'm pretty sure you think there is no people so crazy across the world :pir-blush:
My friends don't believe me as soon as they come in my 'Lego room' :pir_bawling:  :pir_bawling:  :pir_bawling:
In addition of Pirates, I have also Castle and Vikings
Here are there 'for pirates',
I know that one of my box is 'missing' somewhere in the Caste/Vikings sets :pir_bawling: because I know that I have 2 X 6248 and the 6286 but They where not in 'Pirates boxes'.
You will be able to see pictures when moderated here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=427482
I didn't take time to open all plastics bags and build them all, I don't have (actually' enough space and time for that) :pir-sick: .
I finally have 16 boats
3* 6268
1*6291
1*6280
3*6271
2*6274
1*6286
1*6285
1*6289
1*6290 (found by my mother 2 years ago, complete, in the box, on the top of a trash bin :cannon: )
1*6243 (still sealed, time and space...)
1*10210 (couldn't resist to the little voice 'open it, open it...'
You will say 'you don't have the 10040', but it's on the way now :pir-cry_happy:
For the 'rest', some sets are there 2, 3, 4 or more (certainly the 6236, 5 times not opened, 1 time assembled, 6244 2+ 2 never opened.....)

I hope you will like to see such a huge 'fan' :pir-blush: and you will not be disappointed by the fact that they're disassembled in plastic bags :pir-cry_sad:
Thanks in advance

Hi,

So, why the 6290 when I have the 6289, why the 6291 when I have the 6280 and why several times the same sets????
Simply because I want to 'have them all' :pir_wacko: . A lot of people will say that a collection is not complete if one set is missing :pir-sweet: .

Ok,
If the idea is to have all numbers from some theme- I understand, although for me this is just waste of money, but as I said- this is my point of view. Who could afford it- let's do it..

All best!

You should never 'tell' that buying Lego is 'waste of money', my wife can read it :pir-cry_happy: and she will use and re-use this argument :pir-sick:

I have one question- isn't this way of sorting Lego too dangerous from scratching the elements?
I am thinking myself how to sort my sets the best without brake them down and with best preserve from scratches..

I would like to know the answer of that too. If I was you I would prefer buying sets that I don't have rather that having copies of the same sets?
All your sets are almost build. You should take some time and paste a picture of them in this thread: Pictures Collection Thread

I like the way you use for storing the sets....I'll do that too.

Dont think i've added my collection to this list:

1696 Pirate lookout
6234 Renegade's Raft
6235 Buried Treasure
6236 King Kahuka
6239 Cannon Battle
6240 Kraken Attackin
6241 Loot Island
6243 Brickbeards Bounty
6253 Shipwreck Hideout
6256 Islander Catamaran
6257 Castaway's Raft
6258 Smugglers Shanty
6259 Broadside Brig
6260 Shipwreck Island
6263 Imperial Outpost
6265 Sabre Island
6270 Forbidden Island
6276 Eldorado Fortress
6277 Imperial Trading Post
6279 Skull Island
6285 Black Seas Barracuda
10040 Black Seas Barracuda

This is the modest result of a few sets as a kid, and lots of ebay purchases after the dark age! Think next on the list is the Imperial flagship, but its alot of money and there are other sets that are being discontinued sooner !

I have almost all of the Pirates first run except for about 3 bigger sets. You can see my brickshelf. There were a couple of sets I wasn't sure about I've got to check next I'm home to my parents so I can look at the bins in the attic.

My neighbour (who is all grown up with a couple daughters) had a couple of the sets I'm missing (the original fort and Caribbean clipper) I might see if he's around and still has them when I'm home. I think there is one boat I'm missing, but I can't recall right off which one it is (thankfully not the BSB).

And the list is:

6239 Cannon Battle x2-3, can't quite remember.
6240 Kraken Attackin x3-4, can't quite remember also.
6242 Soldier's Fort x1
8396 Soldier's Arsenal x3
8397 Pirate Survival x1
