Dear all,

This is my very first time building a spacecraft MOC. I must admit that I am not a good builder and I was hesitant to post/share this MOC that I have done in public. I am working on my own personal project to embark, by using the Series 7 Galaxy Patrol to form the foundation of my Neo-Space Defenders. This is my first official introduction to the Neo-Space Defenders and my very first addition to the space fleet. I have used most of the parts from 20202 Robots to build this spacecraft. Please feel free to leave constructive feedback and thoughts. I will do my best to improve myself.

May I present the first light assault spacecraft, 'Skylet', a single combat pilot control with the ability to manoeuvre and engage hostile targets quickly and effectively.

I like how the long pokey pieces (which I shall call X-Wing guns) look perfect as directional thrusters. Kind of like the classic space retro-rockets, but these can thrust up and down instead of forward and backwards. Also being further out from the hull gives them more leverage for when the craft needs to spin.

I am really very glad to see the encouraging comments. I was quite concerned at first, whether to share or not, to seek feedback and I wanted to attempt to build something based on the given limited parts selection of a particular set to see what I can transform it into. The hardest part was to get the right weight balance ratio. I had difficulty initally when the back was too heavy and I have to keep on trimming it and adjusting it. I guess that is the whole fun of MOCing which I enjoyed. Furthermore, the cockpit and wings are also challenging as well, to ensure the right fit.

Very nice WhiteFang, I like the colour scheme and the ultra-light look very much. Your presentation is excellent as always. I am not familiar with the set you used, but my recommendation would be if anything to trim back even further on the parts. The section behind the cockpit looks a little heavy and I am not sure about the repetition of the large ball joint at the back. If you have the parts to turn those black round 1x1 and curves under the cockpit to lime, it would pop like crazy! Great MOC

Thank you robuko. I am glad the colour schema of black and lime green complements well. The set which I have used is part of the Master Builder Academy (MBA) Level 1 kit, I believe. It is a set filled with great MOCs parts.

Originally, this is a robot kit and I actually wanted to replace the ball knob at the rear, but due to limited parts, I leave it there. However, I will definitely consider and trim it further. Yes, great idea to change the parts as well to lime green. I will source for those parts as well.

Gee, perfect...almost for the first time I have to admit there is someone who - from my point of view - fully understood "old school" LEGO space building design concepts: airyness, lightness, few bricks, nice design, good playability...BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO (so now I know I am not the only one who's thinking is somewhat different from most of the MOC-ers, haha)

Actually the only thing I do not like much is just the transaprent color used - light blue, except that as I said above simply excellent little gem!

BTW: is it "real stuff" or some superrealistic render??? Cos it looks so beautiful to eyes...
