Maybe it is some sort of fantasy theme? or maybe a theme with out minifigures.

Won't that be a bit confusing between 'Lego Galaxy' and the failed 'Lego Universe'? :S

That said, the space/polar aspect would tie in with the idea that it would somehow be an update of the old Ice Planet stuff.

My guess is a 'Power Ice Miners in space' sort of feel.

That's what I thought at first, but a Polar theme and a Galaxy theme are completely different. Maybe the Galaxy theme is for the Summer? LEGO usually reboots Space themes every two years. :look:
I guess we'll have to wait for another response from 'Legomilk'.

Actually its "galaxy squad" (or qest, not sure)  but dont expect much of it. Its space based action theme (like world racers, Agents etc...) with childish figs and colorful vehicles fighting against some insectoid aliens (not 100% sure about this last).

Too bad. I would very muh like to se "serious" arctic/space theme, with quality sets like lets say space police.
