Hey !

I'm glad to present you my fourth modular building.

For this module, I go with a 16x32 based sized module, to complete my first modular building, in the same way than the 10218 Pet shop LEGO set.

This is my first modular building that is not based directly on a real house. But it is based on classic 1900 architecture.
As for my other modules, I updated one of my own MOC.
In 2007, my dark orange house looked like that :


In 2009, it looked like that :


Finally, the street floor from 2009 was good enough for me to keep it, without any modification.
I just work on upper floors to make them more details and sturdy.
And I finally come with that :

I agree with cimddwc - both the architecture and the colour combination works very well. I particularly like the detailing around the first and second floor windows.

If I could make a couple of suggestions (this is nitpicking): There's nothing wrong with leaving some studs showing, but I think it would look better if you tiled the brown area above the windows and door on the ground floor, and I'd also prefer a 1x4 tan tile underneath each of the first floor windows in the back - althought that might interfere with the shutter tabs.

I also think that the roof would look better with a tiny bit of detailing - nothing much, but maybe a couple of pipes or grille tiles or something. That said, it looks brilliant the way it is :)

I really enjoy following the transformation from your old to your new modular street. Keep'em coming! :)

It looks great :), where did you get all those Orange pieces? And those blue tiles?

Very nice modular house, Alex54! I like the colour scheme and the duplication of the floors works really well too. The only thing I miss is a little bit more of a sloped roof.

All those dark orange pieces come from the 4728 Escape from Privet Drive Harry Potter set and from Pick a Brick in Legoland Germany. I was really pleased to find those bricks in this colors. My only regret, I don't pick them enought...

Blue tiles ? Do you mean blue windows ? They come from 4840 The burrow.

I'm always open to read some suggestions about creations, it could only make them better.

L@go, you're right with the 1x4 tan tile underneath the windows. The shutter tabs are not really a problem, I can put them inside. The matter is that I don't have enough tan tiles now, so I prefer to keep them for a better usage than making some good back buildings, which are not so many visible.

For the brown studs, I will try to put some tiles, I think you're right too for this point.

And finally the roof... The section that I'm not happy with... Seeing the pictures that I have taken, I know that I need to work on it, it needs some improvements.

I just have to wok on those points now!

I adore the colour scheme of this, as well as the brilliant details on the exterior! I cannot wait to see interior furnishings on this.

That's a great evolution. The old one looked nice, but the new version is better than nice.
Great work on the windows. I really like the details on those.
But still a bit empty inside I see. No intention of making an interior?

After seeing the front of Vincent Kessels’ Dutch irish pub, and after asking him if I can copy it, I rebuild the front of my pub and come with that :




I’ve also modified the back, but making great back is not my priority, it’s just a way to use not so useful pieces that I have a lot :


And one of the other new elements is that I have put some details inside the pub.

I tried to make a cozy place where friends can meet around some good beers, watching whatever sports you want on TV.
It’s hard to take some nice pictures from such a small interior. So I don’t put too many details because they will not be that much visible.

A great modular you made there. Ik like the idea of the Irish Pub, but i liked the first (with the Harry Poter windows) better. The new interior is great though.

Your street is very impressive, my favorite is the Tan/Dark tan house.

the bar counter is nice! however i think u missed out on 1 important aspect of pubs (in fact in the expensive real estate that is modular houses, it is sometimes quite a hindrance): THE TOILET

ur facade has an Irish feel to it. so appropriate to update ur photos given that St Pat's Day just passed.

Sorry for the toilet, but as I am not a pub frequenter, I didn't know that toilets are so important in this kind of place...
A 16 stud wide house doesn't bring a lot of space. So maybe I could put a toilet, but adding too many things in such a small area can't make them really visible.
I've got some space outside, I can make a toilet in a garden!
