First Prize:

Pirate King for a week!

Being Pirate King brings special privileges!  Some like choosing your title and the gold trophy may be indefinite, while other more exciting privileges will only last a week!

Second Prize:
Choose your own title and the silver trophy

Third Prize:
The Bronze trophy

It’s time to get into the spirit of Halloween as it’s just around the corner! The high seven seas have been churning and getting bumpier. The fog has set in. Your ship is sailing in the middle of the water during 1600-1700’s. And your ship may be HAUNTED! Ghosts, undead skeletons, demons, demon rats, witches and wizards, and what else that is out there! That’s right; you have a haunted ship in the middle of the seven seas. So what do you do? Run? Hide? Fight? Are you going to jump off the ship with the expression of Sir Nadroj’s favorite head? Are you going to stick around and think its all baloney? So, what do you do? You decide!

OR

You're living peacefully in your cottage by the shore, you love it there, and the colony is the best you could ever hope it would be in the Carribean(or anywhere else in the Americas). You're sipping your tea in enjoyment, with company or by yourself. But what was that noise you just heard? OH NO! A GHOST(or whatever you want!) So, run away? Go to the stake and burn your witch problem? What will you do? You decide!

OR

You're shipwrecked or you're stuck on an island and live in a cave, but something dwells in those places, what do you do? Hurry up and decide! Or else you will be doooooooomed!!!!!!

The Rules:
  • 1. This is a fun contest for the spirit of Halloween!

  • 2. No custom or non-Lego (i.e. stickers, tape, water slide decals) this is just a way to find the most innovative way to do certain things without resorting to alternatives!

  • 3. No digital editing, only titles are allowed in your picture.

  • 4. What to do:
  • a. Your entry must depict a ship, a house, a man made construction in scenery (i.e. a bridge), a cave, or a shipwreck in a colony/sea of the 1600-1700’s.
  • b. Build it however you want. Whether it be on a hull, or on a baseplate. Go as large as you can, make a new broken down ship/building to have haunts in!
  • c. You have to have a HAUNTED Figure, even if it is just a normal looking figure (could be a possessed guy).
  • d. You can include yourself and other members of the crew/company on your model.(optional)
  • e. It is preferred that you start a brand new creation, but if time really is bad, exisiting creations tweaked up are allowed.
  • f. Only one entry allowed, to keep things a bit more fair.

  • 5. Posting Entries:
  • a. You can only contain 5 pictures in your post, but may link to your photo hosting website.
  • b. Photos can’t be bigger than 700X700 pixels
  • c. Contain a description, weather it be 5 sentences or just 1 tiny one. Sort of to explain things!

  • 6. Voting:
  • a. A Poll will be set up by one of our lovely Pirate Admin, Regulator, or MOD.
  • b. The voting will last 1 week after deadline.

  • 7. Dates:
  • a. Accepting entries: October 1, 2007 – October 31, 2007
  • b. Voting: November 1, 2007 – November 8, 2007
Have loads of fun building this, make the scariest thing you can, or the funniest! Good Luck to ALL Contestants, this is open to EVERYONE!

This sounds like a fun contest hehe and I'll gladly join the fun !!

I just have one interrogation: is there a size limit/restriction for that contest ?? Is a 8x8 vig competing with a 96x96 ??

X-D  I wonder where I have heard that  :-P

Its true but look at the city contest Hinckie, the more details, the more votes, so in a sense size do matter !!
I know what I'm going to do anyway and it won't be very detailed and is not even based on a pirate movie per se !!
I'll just use a pirate fig instead and it will work just as fine  >:-)

Will start soon befopre I loose my inspiration hehe

You don't need to base it off of a movie. It's best if ye used your imagination.

Well excuse me for not beeing a pirate nerd Loooooooool !! And I totally despise the Halloween concept as well hehe. I don't have that much of a pirate collection anyway hehe.
But I like that contest and I'm sick of having each time 1/3 puny votes looooool, so I need to better myself building fun MOCs and thats what its all about !!

But I have a good idea based on a movie which I really love, so I'll base it on it !! Even in the movie its about pirates !! No its not scooby doo nor SB rofl !!

But trust me on the fact that I will use that vivid imagination of mine...

Great entry SN !!

First you really has some great humour in there !! Run bloody pirates, run !! Forget your cloths and weapons, just run in the water and swim like ther's no tomorrow...

Then the fort is really nicely built. It has a yellow castle feel to it which is great for nostalgia. That trans baseplate has really cool uses !!

Also as a SW geek its always a pleasant surprise to see a SW torso in a pirate's forum looooool.

OK I sense this will be a great and fun contest !! Can't wait to work on my entry !!

That banner is way too big for me to add, but I will definitely add you to the Billboard o' Doom after this post. I assume that no digital editing also kills my chance for a LDD entry, huh? :-P

Shadows is looking for stalkers. Yep, you heard me right. CLICKY!
