[RENDER] Techtroners logo

Recommended Posts

Hey people, I've just finished logo for my own CS pseudo-subtheme Techtroners (I was trying to somewhat remain within the limits of the "GreatOldOnes" yet incorporating some fresh visual ideas): the middle golden object should remind you several things like letter "T" (ehm, as for "Techtroners", right? ), also stylized Michelangelo's "person" with widely stretched out hands, maybe high voltage pylon too (as Techtroners are mainly technicians... ) + in background there is a blue planet (although not Earth still evoking it by the water color) and the rocket from the 80's CS logo this time making circles not around the planet itself but the middle "T" object instead - what do you think, hm? :classic:

BTW somewhere in the middle of the process there was a brief moment when it almost look like the old WWII german eagle holding the sw...ika so I rather immediately changed/redesigned it avoiding any misunderstanding :look::sceptic: ...but I had to admit purely as a design it was perfect tho :devil: .

Anyway I am hoping you will like the final "product" so please let me know your opinions in the comment section if you will...

Colors of the bricks are used in the way I am using it within the Techtroners subtheme...yellow, white, black, trans dark blue.

It's a good logo, but I think when you used the classic space logo, it made it look more like these were actual sets that could have existed, or actual prototype sets that were never made. So if you're going for nostalgia, I like the classic space logo, but if you want something different and distinctive, this logo is very nice.

Actually you are right I guess, cos day after I think probably the same tho my reason is a bit different: when I applied itto a model it does not look as good as the classic logo so I probably stay with the cs logo for some time till I come up with something better :classic:

if you want something unique but also more classic, i'd say go with something simpler. like the m-tron logo. a circle, or maybe to invoke the repair theme, an octagonal "bolt", with a t inside it that has a color fade or something, and then the cs arrow thing around it, possibly throwing in a black or white outline around that. id do up a sketch but my tablet is being shakey right now.

on this design, i love the design, but it feels a bit too complex for the more classic feel of your sets.

Agreed, it is too complicated for a logo, I realized it too and funnily I was thinking about something similar you are suggesting, that is: some kind of stylized letter T...

Anyway for now I returned back to the classic golden moon logo but on the other hand I will introduce new Techtroners minifig: doctor and emergency stuff :classic:

OK, waiting for your sketch + BTW I know what you are talking about when it comes to tablet(s): I have one quite good 12" for drawing with with Wacom pressure sensitive pen I am writing this post from, BUT except the drawing/sketching it is quite pain in the a** really! :sceptic::thumbdown::grin:

there should be a color gradient behind the t in the shaded area, and i did it up kinda like the logo you'd see on the box because i had a few minutes to spare.

Quite good idea tho I would strip off the word "troners" and let alone the logo, nice work I have to say  + thanx, maybe I find usage for it sometimes later (I would let you know in that case, of course  )
