Zepher Posted December 13, 2008 (edited) Story: Follow Cpt. Kirk and his First Mate Mr. Jonnyson through the different ages of piracy. On thier well-built, ill-fitted boat the Merry-Go these adventures don't let the day or age stop them from out doing Admiral Paddock and his Assistant Pvt. Morris. Each Day this week I'll release a picture of a different age of piracy. (Five Days) First Age: Classical (This was to show off that build technique....) Enjoy! -Zeph Edited December 20, 2008 by Zepher
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 13, 2008 Nice idea to post some pictures during the week so you are curious about how the story goes on. I like the build MOC but it may need some improvements: The Imperial guards are unarmed and don't really look upset about the small invasion. A textballoon would say: "Ah, welcome! You're just on time for dinner." It would be nicer when the guards are in panic or something. If it has to do with your story, forget what I said. Again, nice idea. Zepher Posted December 13, 2008 It's no so much a story. It's the same event each time. Sorry if there's any confusion though, I'll help explain. The pirates are getting away, and the Imperial is waiting for his assistant Pvt Morris, to bring him his weapon. Morris is just arriving, but to late! Thanks for the feed back! Zepher Posted December 14, 2008 Second Age: Steam-Punk
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) I've been reading something somewhere ( probably the guidelines ) about MOC's: "The MOC's should be from the age of sail, so no steam punk." Although I like your MOC I don't know what to think about it because it doesn't really fit in the pirates theme. I can be totally incorrectly so please tell me if I do. Good MOC anyway and I love to see how the MOC slightly changes each age. Keep up the good work edit: some grammar mistakes. Zepher Posted December 14, 2008 Pirates are still around today, so yeah, this fits into piracy! Thanks for the feedback though!
NewRight Posted December 14, 2008 I guess Cpt. Kirk is going on a wonderful journey. Where will he end up?
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 15, 2008 He will end up in a nice oak coffin when the Imperials get him! :pir-skull: Or maybe not... who knows.... I'm waiting with patience for the next episode.
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 15, 2008 (edited) Haha, it looks quite well. I like the patched up building, which stands there for ages already. It looks like the lighted path attracts pirates to the port. :pir-skull: The antenna in the corner shows you this MOC is modern - future, a nice addition. Only 1 flaw: the boat could be moderner, I see a piece in it which you used in the Steam punk age as well Great job so far and I'm curious how the voyage will be continued. Zepher Posted December 15, 2008 The idea is that the boat is the same, and some pieces stay the same. I don't want the boat to change to massively, I want them to all be connected! Thanks again for the feedback, you seem to be the only one commenting!
Guss Posted December 15, 2008 hehe that's quite nice! can't wait to see the next age ! futuristic pirates ? ^^post apoc ? cyberpunk ? ^^ internet pirates ? XD
Zepher Posted December 17, 2008 (edited) Age IV: Retro-Future (This is the only part I'm really happy with) -Zeph Edited December 17, 2008 by Zepher
RocketSeason Posted December 17, 2008 The Retro-Future boat looks a bit Egyptian. Nice work.
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 17, 2008 Another age, it looks great, especially "the piece you are happy with" looks very special thanks to the transparent rods. The boat looks funny as well and you can see it's still that old classic dinghy. A textballoon would say: "Hello again, you won't get rid of us for ages!" The first second I saw the boat I thought they were selling hotdogs. But a better look shows it's a boat. Defenitely a boat, although I hope I will have a comfortable ship in the future because there's almost no space for the guys. Great job again! Is another age on his way or is this the end?
