Escorting a Valuable Load [Freebuild]

In the grasslands of Kaliphlin there are bands of nomads who are known to sometimes prey on undefended merchants. So if the load you are transporting is valuable enough, there are good reasons to do like this merchant and bring a strong escort of your own light cavalry to be able to counter fast moving bandits. In some places along the roads however there are watchtowers where the authorities of Kaliphlin are trying to manifest their presence, but this tower looks strangely empty so the escorting riders are even more on edge here...well, not everyone.

I'd like to claim a UoP credit for Geography: Grasslands.

Beautiful build! I like the fact it seems full with all the plants but with the tower, I think you could have either added a soldier at the top, make it looks destoryed or overgrown with vegetation. Overall, I love the atmosphere of the build and how you presented it.

Nice build, Gideon!

The texture of the tower walls is excellent as is the color variation. The foliage and stones make the path stand out, both in parts and colors used.

I do agree with Goliath that a sentry would be nice, unless the tower was given a more overgrown, abandoned appearance.

Very nice build Gideon, the grassland, road, and light cavalry escort are excellent, as is the texture of the tower

The battlements on top of the tower look a bit out of place though (partly because there isn't anything there), I think that either a slope out or another half-step in would probably improve it :classic:

Thanks!

The tower was mostly built because I didn't have quite enough tan bushes... I reverted to something in my comfort zone (a tan fortification of course!). Did some experimentation at least, I think this is my most busy mottling so far and the crenelation was also a bit of an experiment.

But I agree that a ruined tower would have looked better here.

You did well on the tan fortification, excellent build! Love all the details in the brickwork and it suits the moc quite well. The build it self is also very nice, and the snot base is also very nice.

UoP +1. Great build Gideon, the abandoned tower and spines used as grass is a nice touch.

Nice. I never would have thought to use the bushes as grass, and enough of them together work really well.

Excellent build! I think the tower is great, and the question of where the sentry might be adds to the atmosphere. Very nice job with the grassland, the terrain is well done.

The tower looks bigger than it is, and the half stud offset design works nicely again here  Great landscape too, the burnt orange is lovely

Beautiful scene Gideon, I'm really enjoying the scenery style you're developing for your corner of Kaliphlin. The color scheme is the real gem here, though that weather-worn outpost is wonderfully done too. You really have an eye for both the small and large in your works!
