As far as I could tell, my only problems are some of the colours have been replaced, and the decals/minifigure faces are not available.

Hi!
I'm wondering about the colours you told has been replaced.
Extended Mode allows to apply almost all colours to all available bricks (even in never combinations never realized in real bricks), so this problem should not happen.
Could you explain with more detail?

I think I probably got some of the colours a little mixed, as I was building from instructions that were far from clear. Therefore some of the colours may be wrong. It should be close though. I've probably modernized the colours a bit, using medium stone grey instead of old grey, etc. I'm not completely sure what the right colours are:wacko:, so if someone sets me straight I can fix it

Ok, I understand the problem!
The solution in simple: you have to refer to an inventory such as those that provided from bricklink or peeron.
As bricklink, peeron and lego uses different names for the colours, you should look at a conversion table, such as peeron color list. More informations in the "LDD reference" Topic.
Replace the colours is simple too: the Color Selection Tool allow you to select all the bricks of the same colour and then recolour that using the bucket.

The best way to share your images and lxf file is to use an external file hosting that allows hotlinks.
The most used here is brickshelf: you can make a free account and than hotlink both images and lxf file.

The image you inserted is too big and need to be resized. The image have to stay inside a 512x512 pixel. Besides, the set's data have to be highlighted in bold.

The pink parts in these Paradisa sets should be colored 9 Light Reddish Violet. 223 Light Pink is, as its number suggests, a far more recent color. To be perfectly honest I have never seen it in actual bricks and so don't know if it has a Bricklink counterpart, but I have seen it on LEGO licensed shoes and other products along with more familiar LEGO colors like Bright Reddish Violet (Bricklink's Magenta), Light Purple (Bricklink's Bright Pink), and Bright Purple (Bricklink's Dark Pink in post-2004 sets).

The dark pink seats in "Carriage Ride" should also be colored 22 Medium Reddish Violet rather than 221 Bright Purple. In general the cutoff point between these two colors, like so many color changes that elicited greater controversy, was 2004.

The ponytails in the first set are also incorrect, being the one from the Minifigures Series 1 nurse (87990) rather than the "classic" ponytail (6093).
