Lego Pick-A-Brick

Recommended Posts

Have any of you ever had any problem(s) with Lego Pick-A-Brick?

I have only ordered twice and had no issue w/my first order.

My 2nd order; however (that I just ordered a few weeks ago for my Jungle Adventure) took almost three weeks to never get.

I understand that all Pick-A-Brick orders come from Denmark. That adds another week for orders here in the US (at least).

I had been waiting for some time, and was tracking the order through DHL (one of the carriers Lego uses now). They turned the order over to my local post office (USPS), and that was the end of my order. Tracking showed the order as received several days ago, but I never got it.

Now, Lego will credit my account, but I have to re-order and wait another three weeks. I am relunctant to order again as I don't want to wait another three weeks. This is the 1st order from Lego or anywhere that I have not received.

You would think that there would be some Lego warehouse/Pick-A-Brick in the US for the US market.

In any case, my Jungle remains untouched collecting dust as I decide what to do.

Perhaps this is my way of venting more than anything, but has anyone else experienced trouble with Pick-A-Brick?

I ordered a (small) batch of stuff from PAB last week, for the first time, and got it in only three or four days. I placed a somewhat larger order yesterday after that experience and hope to receive it some time next week.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a very good thing if they're coming out of Denmark, as that means you're very likely to get high quality bricks instead of the Flextronics produced stuff. Although the package I got just said it was from "DHL Global Forwarding" and had an Illinois address, so it wasn't entirely clear where it had originated from.

I have had many problems W/ LSH. I ordered my Indy sets and waited 2 months they never came. I then re-ordered and then they came 2 weeks later. They never notified me of any mistake, nothing. And that's happend 3 TIMES! And for some reason PAB came 1 month later than Indy... *wacko*

Pick-a-Brick has been perfect for me, so far. I tend to place a $20 PaB order in every regular order, just because they have a few things cheaper than Bricklink. Legs, torsos, and lamp posts last time, nothing spectacular.

I didn't realise they shipped out of Denmark though, and I'm not sure that's possible. I've had a PaB order arrive in 3 days. I've never had a replacement part (they definitely come from Billund) in less than a week, usually 2 weeks. Comparing the two, I've also had mistakes from the replacement parts service, even using the online system which should be fairly foolproof.

I'll add that they're always nice though and never question sending parts again to make up for mistakes. S@H isn't always so nice (especially recently).

What was I saying again? :-$

Oh yeah, no problems so far. I haven't placed an order in 2 months though, and that didn't include and PaB (same old crap at the time). So that makes it 3 months since I've gotten anything from them. With all the changes in the company, there's no telling what could be going on.

Not that I think about it, there was one little problem. My first 3 PaB orders didn't include itemized invoices, so I had to rely on my memory to check that they'd included everything. To the best of my knowledge, they did, and subsequent orders have included a full invoice, all perfect so far.

i've ordered PaB twice. 1st time was 2 months ago for $20 & 2nd time was like 2 weeks ago for like $80, no problem so far. i'm usually not tracking anything especially when i know it's coming from successful company. i do understand there could some mistake but hey LEGO will make it up. i had a problem once for regular order but they ship the item like a week after, no question ask.

My thoughts would be the issue is with your post office and not Pick-a-brick :-)

Think Ive made 4 orders now with Lego's PAB. All of them have been slow. I made an order then a week later another. I received both on the same day. 3 and 2 weeks later respectively.

Ive been waiting for over 10 days now for my last order and have yet to get an email saying it has been shipped

Here in Sweden it says when you make a PaB order that it will take up to three weeks. This leads me to believe they have some kind of productioncycle producing certain pieces certain days and your order has to be included in this batch thus making it take a while to actually produce the pieces you ordered.

Frankly I have yet to order from Lego PickaBrick. I feel that Bricklink is better in so many ways (Usually) That you can get any part you need, and the same parts for even cheaper.

They also have no purple or dark purple bricks in PaB. Hence, It is useless to me for now :-P

The only thing I would be interested in would be the 3 leafed plants and the food objects, but I can get those along with many other purple parts and minifigs I actually need, at a store I've been scoping out *wub*
