My first pirate MOC

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on building my first great pirate MOC. It should be a redcoat fort. I'm going to put all my bricks into it (altough that's not so many). Do you have any tips?

It is a little difficult to give any tips with so little info. pirate_sad2.gif But I'll try anyway. Take a look at your brick collection and decide what colors you'll use for the fort. If you have any ideas in mind then start building any part of the fort you like the most.

As Horsecreek mentioned, you need to provide some more details in your first post and not be so vague. If you're only going to provide us with two lines of text with what you're looking for, then don't expect too much of a response. I think you need to look around this forum first. There is a lot of information already in this forum.

I would check out the INDEX: Wikipedia Links Topic in the Buildings and Building Techniques segment and check out Horry's Tutorial on Fortifications of the Sailing Age. Feel free to post replies to either of these topics if you have any questions.

Then, I would check out the out-of-date INDEX: Land based MOCs Topic to see what others have built in this forum. You should only post replies to recent topics for MOCs. While you're at it, you could just browse the Pirate MOCs Forum and click on any fort or harbor related tags to get a list of topics with the same tag.

As everyone seems to want more info: it should become an early type of star fort, with a rectangular base but with star points at corners. In the mid should come a central point, probably a tower but it could also be a well. For that I need some tips. As it is a build in wich i want to experimentate with angels, i also wanted to put a round section in it, but i don't know where or how i should integrate it into the rest. At tree sides there will be water, and at the other side there will be land, with a path to the gate or so. Hope you can help me better. Oh, and thank you for searching all these links for me

Edit: i just checked my brick storage to build round towers, and I think i don't have enough to build a full round of any significance, so the tower should be located at the edge of the fort/baseplate (32x32)
