Feast at "The Spin of Fate" - FB1

Recommended Posts

After much pain and hurry, here is my answer to the Duel: Feast at "The Spin of Fate". Now a free-build by itself!

Hugo wasn't eager to fight with Elysabeth Drondil as, due to his character, took it lightly as every other thing in his life. Or was arrogant enough and was sure he would win? So one day before the duel, he called his friends from the fleet for a drink, at "The Spin of Fate", where the drinks are cold and the girls are hot! The establishment took its name after the wheel (of fortune) that you can see right above the door that leads to the kitchen. That wheel belonged to the first owner of this place that came to the Sea of Storms with all his belongings on a cart.

I had tons of fun making this build, which reminded me once more that i am a huge minifig and acessories lover and have the fig-fever. If you see some color deviations, it is because with this MOC, my brick stash is officially depleted with all this building the past month and all i have left is black and gray bricks :pir_laugh2: Enjoy and sorry if you have an eye-sore after watching due to dim yellow lighting but couldn't wait till morning (job is killing me! hehehe)

Thanks again!

This is a fine scene in itself, duel or no. You have a lot going on in a small space and the fact that it opens for access is really nice. I like the clutter of accessories, the wheel is a cool idea and the small chandelier is a good feature. And it's nice to see a woman in period garb, rather than trousers...

Interesting counter build. Now for the judging...

I dont like trousers on that era minifig too... BUT they make excellent french soldiers with a change of head!! On the dueling thing, i will vote for Elysabeth to win as TitusV has way better MOC pirate_classic.gifpirate_classic.gif

A fun little build, and I can think of no better way to prepare for a violent, potentially deadly duel. I really like the part use for the coat rack (I can never find a good use for the round plate with the 4 prongs), and it certainly has a lively feel to it. I would recommend adding a lower shelf behind the bar (the current one looks a little too high to be readily accessible), possibly with some liquor on it, but it appears that most of the liquor is already on the tables pir_laugh2.gif .

Thanks Genaro! I couldnt find any good use for this part either. It was this coat-hanger use or as chandelier. Regarding a lower shelf, i wanted to do that too. But as i said i ran out of bricks and had only wooden palisade panels to use. So, LEGO bricks modularity went down the drain... pirate_sing.gif

I shall be looking forward to judging your builds - expect a year-long deliberation, for which the judges must go to a tropical retreat to confer with the rules, the builds and eachother... Can I have the billing address once more? pirate_wink.gif

Nice party, and loads of nice details and figs. The posing is very nice, and it looks very lively, but I would suggest a bit more polishing with tiles etc. pirate_blush.gif

Ofc, now that you became rich, you can retire to your tropical retreats... pfff!! Young Corries these days...

I'm sorry, I don't remember the name or member for this Duel.

If you see some color deviations, it is because with this MOC, my brick stash is officially depleted with all this building the past month and all i have left is black and gray bricks :pir_laugh2:

Feel free to come over to my place and build.

I don't have zillions of bricks laying around, but I have a problem of too many bricks and not enough MOCs. :pir-grin:

Hahaha, this MOC was made as an answer to the Duel vs miss Elisabeth Drondil (TitusV). Not quite that well made as my opponent but a fun build nevertheless! Loose bricks!?! pirate_oh3.gif yummy!!!
