Death Star trench run - Micro MOC

Recommended Posts

This is my few years old MOC of the final attack on the first Death Star. Like my Battle of Hoth the model was several years underway in planning and gathering of the needed bricks.

This model was also modified last year as I wasnt happy with the clustered attempt of greeble I had done... I myself think this version is better

Again, I apologise for the poor pictures, I really need to invest in a proper camera...

Very nice MOC! I think your photos are just fine. I looked at some on Flickr and on my iPad I can zoom in it them just fine. A better investment might be backdrop and lighting.

I once heard that "The best camera is the one you have with you" with proper lighting even a modern smartphone camera can produce great photos. I think it's more about the lighting than the camera for many photos. We don't all need a $1,000 camera to take photos of our MOCS.

Just MHO, YMMV

This is really astonishing. I love all the details packed into this, especially the Y-Wings. Do you mind making instructions for them?

The Y-wing is actually the only original set in the MOC..The building instructions for the y-wing came out of serveral of those small micro sets a few years back. I will have a look for it tomorrow :sweet: I have a printout that I might be able to scan

And thank you both for the kind words

Thank you  I love trying to come up with new/different solutions so that I can get as many details and life into my MOCs

Ah yes, the 2003 mini sets. Four of them came with parts to build that Y-wing, four came with parts to build a TIE Bomber. Their instructions are also available through Brickset, just in case Kenneth-DK has no luck with his search.

Very cool build! I really like the detailing on the death star and the fact that you caught just the moment when one of the X-wings explodes. Great job! :classic::thumbup:

The pictures are ok, but a neutral background, better lighting and a tripod can do miracles. Thats all not really expensive, even if the instinct tells one, that the money is better spent on more Lego, I know  I also would like to see it from a lower angle, like in the film :classic:
