MOC: Wheelchair

Recommended Posts

Today I got the new Camper set (# 7639), one of few city sets of mine actually. I'm more of a Castle/Pirates guy

Anyway, I loved this set and I finally got a bike! I had one when I was a kid but it was broken several times and was no use (it's still in my old collection back at my dad's house).

With the new bike and it's wheels I could finally try to make something I've had in mind for a long time, a wheelchair:

It's easy to take of the arm rests and put in a joystick instead:

Back with handles and tip guard (is that the right word in english?):

A few more pictures can be found here when public: Brickshelf

I would like to give credit to Ricecracker for the way to attach the wheels with this piece.

Thank you for watching, please tell me what you think of it if you want to :sweet:

I must say, that is VERY good.

That leg technique could certainly get you some Lego fame...

I'll agree that this is very good, however that leg technique has been around for quite some time now ;).

Great job! I've seen a couple versions of LEGO wheelchairs, and this is by far the least bulky meathod that actually uses minifig legs. The joystick control suggesting a powered chair is very effective. I think it's time to take apart one of my bicycles!

Wow, that's the best minifig scale wheelchair i've seen. It's certainly very realistic. I work at a special school and a lot of the kids are in wheelchairs. I like the way it can swap between powered and manual.

It's so nicely to scale, and it just looks so smooth. I'll certainly keep the design in mind.

I'm gonna try your design for my City display but I've a doubt: there's a proper connexion betweeen the legs and the green modified bricks or they're just "supported" by them? :look: Thanks!

I'm not much around in this forum, but I think this is really nice.

You've used some smart techniques on it and it looks very realistic.
