Ladies, gents...

I'd like to share one of my more recent MOCs, my version of the BARC speeder.

The Biker Advanced Recon Commando (BARC) speeder was a powerful speeder bike model used by the Grand Army of the Republic as a reconnaissance craft during the Clone Wars. It was manufactured by Aratech Repulsor Company.

They were powered by repulsors and a turbine engine mounted on the frontal prong. The speeder was controlled via twin steering vanes atop the bike, and pedals fitted below. Two blaster cannons protruded from the bottom of the forward prong, while two more were fixed on either side of the vehicle's rear.

The speeders were capable of flying at high altitudes and were sometimes used as escorts for LAAT/i gunships carrying important passengers.

Originally I'd been tinkering with creating my own version of the Flitknot and somehow ended up with this! There's a couple of areas where I've used a little artistic license such as the front engine and prong.

Great MOC, pedro.  

You've cut down the official design a lot and made it look much better. As always, the pictures are wonderful and great quality.

Hello!

This is truly an impressive little creation! You used many nice tricks here like the rare connection of the vbars with the binoculars which works wonderfully here. I also always like to see those new grilled slopes and the potential this new part has.

Another impressive MOC from pedro!

I like the shape of the whole thing, and those greebles (cheese graters and pneumatic T-pieces) make it look much better than the official one in the Clone Turbo Tank.

Your pictures are looking good, too!

I love the BARC Pedro.  
About a year ago I built a BARC myself and this reminds me of it a lot.
Clever technique on the handlebars though, I hadn't thought of that!

Wow, Pedro, that is amazing!  Just as Clone Commander Assassin pointed out, great handlebars!  They look kinda funny at how the tap pieces are used but it is awesome!

The speeder is fantastic Pedro  . I really like how you used the droid arms for the accelerators.
Are the prints official or did you do them yourself?

The steering vanes (shields!) do indeed come from the official version and so were perfect for this MOC. The only niggle I have is that the detail on the forward vanes has gun barrels detailed on them which I've built with LEGO. I could have used another pair of the back vanes but I only have 3 pairs of each and have built 3 of these BARCs (though one is a customised Jedi BARC which I'll photograph later). Doesn't matter too much though and it's better with the detail than without IMO

Very nice work as usual pedro   Probably the best and most accurate with size and detain BARC I've ever seen. Would you mind if I were borrow and or possibly tinker around with the design? If I were to post it with anything, I would be sure to give full credit.

This looks great, i find myself wanting a bit more color, but besides that, it's designed nicely.  I like the improvements to the front nose area, where the poles are, not sure what it's called.

Cheers! The parts swap out easily for coloured variations. I did have an alternate BARC with more dark red, but went for this more version as the colour is more sparse on the 'real thing'. I've also built a custom Jedi BARC speeder with a lot more colour - I'll be photographing that soon.

Sweet Pedro! Excellent MOC, those small vehicles are not easy to make in Lego and adding some detail is pretty hard. You did well!

Aye! It's quite a challenge recreating detail on such a small scale, it teaches you to combine elements in different ways. I found the shape changing quite dramatically as I tinkered away. I actually started out trying to build a version of the Flitknot speeder, then somehwere along the way thought 'hang on, this'd be better suited to a BARC' and so adapted. It's really rewarding when you arrive at something your happy at
