Hi from Australia!

Hi all!

I''m from Australia and very new to the Lego thing.

What started all were the Harry Potter sets. I'm a Harry Potter fan (books and movies, although I think the books are better) and I thought the sets were just so cool. So the good boyfriend that I have, got the hint and got my the two Hogwarts Castle sets for my birthday and I've spent a lot of time tracking down the rest of the new wave of Harry Potter sets to complete my collection.

I've also started looking at the Toy Story Lego sets, although I'm being picker on which ones I want and also the Winter Theme Toy Shop, Bakery and Post Office.

Cheers!

Welcome, dogfin. There are plenty of us Aussies here, we even have our own sales thread here if you haven't seen it. If you are having trouble tracking down some of last years Harry Potter sets, there are a number of overseas places to get them from including amazon.uk (I'm pretty sure they ship most of last year's HP sets to Aus and amazon.fr (who ship everything to Aus and also have the excellent Winter Toy Shop available at a very good price)

Thanks for the tips. I have finished my HP collection with the exception of the polybag sets the Trolley and the Lab. I really hope that they release some more next year and I would love if the re-do some of the older sets. I've also got a friend helping me out in getting the Winter Toy Shop from the States for me. I can't believe the price different between Australia and the USA and with free shipping a lot of the time!

I'm currently living in Canberra. What seems to be the mix of Aussies here?

G'day! Yup, the weather is terrible down here at the moment. I've had to drag the heater out again.
