Hello everyone,

Time flies and I am very pleased to share a quite belated review which I finally glad to find some spare time to complete it. This time, I am back again to share one of the past releases which was originally designed and developed by one of the leading Minifigures Customisation Manufacturer in the LEGO AFOL Community, BrickArms.

In this special review, which I finally got my chance to finally configure and finished up with my military troops whom are sworn to defend the citizens of my tabletown. I will be reviewing and covering the new releases of the BrickArms 2012: Modern Combat Pack v3 content. However, this review is two years late and I believed most of the BrickArms authorised re-sellers have ran out of stock. I still think it is a good opportunity to share something which may not be too relevant due to current releases such as Modern Combat Pack v4 and Modern Combat Pack v5. However, most of the weapons are still relevant and is still available in these new packs.

To me, I am highly looking forward to utilise this BrickArms Modern Combat Pack v3 as it is very useful and versatile to equip a basic platoon with strong weapons arsenal which I will show in this review.

Fall in, soldiers!

Through the good use of the 7595 Army Men on Patrol, I have swap the minifigures' hands and heads to replace it with yellow skin colour without the green camouflage cream being applied on. In this review, there is two customised elements which do not belong to BrickArms. These accessories are classified under the BrickWarriors, Military Vest, for your reference. However, these tactical vests were being used as I do not have the latest recently released LCV (Lightweight Combat Vest). I am certainly looking forward to acquire them into my collection.

The full weapons assortment

Not including the two army green LEGO medical stretchers, the BrickArms Modern Combat Pack v3 contain a total of 26 weapons and parts altogether for a MSRP of USD$16. The full weapons assortment consist of Heavy Assault Carbine (HAC), M16, M16-AGL (Advanced Grenade Launcher), M16-DBR (Door Breaching), Assault Carbine, Combat SMG, Combat PDW, Assault Recon Carbine (ARC), Tactical PDW, AC8 Assault Carbine, M110 Sniper Rifle, Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR), High Calibre Sniper Rifle (HCSR) and M21 Sniper Rife. In total, you will receive 14 assault weapons. While, the remaining 12 consist of parts and accessories such as the following inclusion of two Bipods, two U-Clips, two M203 Grenade Launchers, two Mk2 Grenades, two Ammo Clips and two Combat Knives for carry out weapons modifications and add-ons. It is powerful enough for you to equip the soldiers with effective assault weaponry for beginners level.

Major Lenix

Major Lenix, commander of the LX Platoon. His preferred weapon is the HAC which will allow him to easily penetrate through enemies grounds with heavy firing. If situation call for up close and personal, Major Lenix will use his combat knife to remove his immediate threat.

Captain Nadal

Captain Nadal, second-in-command of the LX Platoon. He is the gung-ho soldier with his camouflage cream applied onto his face. His preferred weapon is the M110 Sniper Rifle, which allow him to convert his assault weapon into sniper capability to take critical enemy target from afar. Captain Nadal also ensure that he keep a few Mk2 grenades for some insurance, in case of dealing with the unexpected guests.

Snipers

The Snipers of the LX Platoon have a wide choice of weapons selection. Their weapons assortment for snipers class include the PSR, HCSR and M21 sniper rifle, with bipods as support. All of these sniper rifles have a wide range of usage for the snipers to choose and equip for their combat mission. The snipers do keep a few ammo clips, just in case of running low on ammunitions.

Privates

The Privates of the LX Platoon are the backbone of the marching troops. They are the ones that will be dealing with the enemies at the very front line. So, weapons for them cannot be discounted. These Privates made use of the M16 equipped with U-Clip attaching with one combat knife similar to a bayonet, M16-AGL, M16-DBR, Assault Carbine and Combat SMG. A few remaining U-Clips and M203 Grenade Launchers for weapons add-on, if required.

Medics

The Medics of the LX Platoon are the ones to ensure and increase the odds of survivability. Therefore, these Medics or Doctors are always ready and on the move with their medical fieldpack. The Medics are given the Tactical PDW and Combat PDW to defend for themselves upon danger. One of the Privates is also attached to the Medics to ensure that they are well protected. In this case, this Private has chosen both the AC8 Assault Carbine and Assault Carbine to carry out his mission.

LX Platoon is ready for deployment

To conclude, this is a good modern war pack with a good mix of assault weapons and sniper rifles, along with good accessories such as the grenade and combat knives included in it. As most are aware that the BrickArms quality is certainly of a very high standard, and this is no exception. Even though the v3 pack is no longer available, but you can definitely consider acquiring the v4 or v5 pack since these include more different heavy weapons such as the M60, SAB Shotgun, etc. All in all, I hope you have enjoyed reading this simple and informative review.

I recently used the entire pack again and put it onto my ACUs (Jurassic World). Just thought of sharing it with you guys on a different usage. These ACUs need to use lethal, if necessary. Hope you enjoyed it.
