MrClean Posted July 12, 2016 Hello there, I'd like to introduce myself since I'm new to Eurobricks. I'm a 30something who lives in the UK and grew up on Lego, Calvin & Hobbes, Transformers and Star Wars, indeed my interest in Lego went well beyond what was considered socially acceptable by my peers! Now I have kids of my own and through them my passion for Lego has been reignited. I've been in awe of the creations that other AFOLs are producing nowadays; I recently built the excellent Arvo Brothers Alien Project, for which I built a stand of my own creation (Not because I had a problem with the Arvo's own stand, but because the scarcity of some of the parts made their acquisition beyond what my patience would allow!) and I fully intend to pursue the hobby further. I was very much in to Lego Technic but the sets I had when I was younger bear little resemblance to what is available now, so I am keen to get my hands on a decent selection of sets and develop my interest, to the point where I'm creating my own models that match the complexity of the MOC's on display here and elsewhere. Aside from Lego I have a passion for Cinema, I include the likes of Alien, Blade Runner, Oldboy, Fight Club and Mad Max among my favourites (my username is reference to Apocalypse Now) and I also have a modest collection of pet Tarantulas.
