antp Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) I was fed up seeing this ugly limousine parked in front of my modular buildings, so heavily inspired by the models made by Missing Bricks, yesterday I finally decided to modify it too. As I wanted to use the chrome wheels I bought from ChromeBricks, I had to make wheel arches differently, since the parts allowing to use these wheels properly with the arches work for 4-wide vehicle, but do not exist for 6-wide. Also, I don't have black 1x3x2 doors in my inventory so I used tiles, handles and clips. I kept the original car length. The reduced arches length allowed to have four doors instead of only two. For practical reason, the rear doors open in the other way, like on the 1961-1969 Lincoln Continental, a well known 4-door convertible limousine. Even if it became a famous feature of that car, that's also originally for practical reason that Lincoln engineers did that back then, by the way :D (according to Wikipedia) Related page: https://antp.be/lego/moc/10232-limousine.php (though that all the info and photos are already here) Edited August 28, 2020 by antp replaced link and pictures, as mocpages died
antp Posted October 2, 2015 I dig up my old topic which did not seem to have a lot of success as I now have uploaded the lxf file made in LDD, in case people are interested: http://antp.be/priv/lego-10232_repl_limousine.lxf
