popup Posted October 18, 2011 Which software has the most different type of bricks since Lego's software does not have all, I find that rather lame indeed. Any advise welcome Popup
Brickdoctor Posted October 19, 2011 The short answer is that LDD has more of the newer bricks and LDraw has more of the older ones. The long answer is that if you're good at modeling your own bricks, LDraw will let you add them, otherwise, it depends on what you plan to build. LDraw offers more freedom, but you have to know what you're doing to take full advantage of that freedom.
Lalror Posted October 19, 2011 Also, if you are not aware of the Extended Mode, that can provide a lot more bricks than what you currently can use.
DLuders Posted October 19, 2011 Yes, as Lalror said, you should be in LDD Extended Mode to see all of the available bricks -- go to Superkalle's Eurobricks post here to find out more.
popup Posted October 19, 2011 Interesting ... As I noticed that XP is required for LDraw. It think it's a shame that all the bricks are not there to be honest that's what put me off using it, since it was something I was going to get into. Popup
