I always love to see some of these custom torso's on minifigs.

Especially the blue torso (second vignette) is one of the better ones.

Where did you finish in the contest?

Woody!!! Where you been lately? I've been wondering where you and Mosana have got to.

Anyway, I'll comment on your vignette when I have more time.

Woody, is there a link to a website or thread on another forum where we can see the other contest entrants?

I think you mean this:

http://forum.lugnet.at/smf/index.php?topic=719.0

since it is an Austrian board, it's in German, but the first post lists the contest participants.

You can also take this link to the gallery:

Thanks for the links!

But there's another link I'm wondering about... The picture below is obviously a screenshot of a YouTube video - you wouldn't happen to have a link to the video it was captured from?

The custom torso has been based on a design by mosana. It comes nearby the 11th hussars although in the film it is a 17th lancer (ulan shakos would also be a great idea for lego minifigs !!!)

The flag is from the flags library by Col.Whipstick:

For those guys who are interested in the historical facts I would strongly recommand the BBC article:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/3944699.stm

On youtube you can find the report in detail, which gives a first impression on media war more then 100 years ago and points out how reporting can incfluence history.

(I always had in mind that this attack was a complete desaster)

Hi Woody,

I really love Muenchhausen and the hat made of wheels in your other vignette. I hope you will still join the next contests as your entries are really an enrichment.

BTW: That was my entry (klick the pic for a larger one):

I can't say I understand why there is a man in a cannon but whatever floats your boat I guess.
