Hi guys! I am new here and dont understand some stuff.

Recommended Posts

Hi all afol's, I am plew2000 and have liked Legos since first grade. Then from about 6 to 9 I sorta stopped playing with my legos, they at 10 i started and from then on I have loved them, but in just this last year I have realy been making MOC's of all sorts like mechas and space ships. then I found Eurobricks while looking for a review for a old lego set, I found it on Eurobricks and from then on I have always visited Eurobricks. And now I have just made an account and I mean just made one, yesterday.

So my question is this: How do you post a moc?

Thanks guys and gals! The reason I made an account was that someone by the name of BEAver posted some realy cool LDD stuff and I just had to say how well he did!

Oh and I should probably say I am not quite an adult yet but the forums on Lego.com seemed like they where getting overrun with spam.

Hey plew2000!

Not sure if I'm understanding your question correctly, so I'll just tell something about my MOC-posting process:

I use a well-lit room with multiple light sources or a sunny day outdoors to photograph the model (I use DSLR plus a tripod, though it's currently inoperable), usually in RAW format, but JPEG can be just fine.

I do retouching, fixing colors/contrast/white balance in Adobe Photoshop CS (special effects,) and/or Photoshop Lightroom (retouching, watermarks...). Export images, crop and/or resize according to some sites' rules, archive them in a relevant Dropbox folder and upload to picture hosting service. I recommend Flickr, as they give you 1TB of free space.

I usually make up some backstory or context for my MOC (time/location...). When posting, I add some relevant pictures to the text and include a link to my gallery where I may upload further photos of requested details.

Regards, MM

Thanks dude!

Sorry if my question was unclear, what I mean to ask is what do you click on to get to the place where you can upload MOC's? :classic:

There is no place to upload a MOC, you need to find a place to host your images and then link to them in your posts. If you want to share an LDD file, you may need to find a different way to host it. Most of us just use something like Flickr to share images.

You can post your MOCs ianywhere in the forum as long as it matches the theme of the MOC. So for example, a Wild West MOC would go in the Historical section on the forums.

Aww I was hoping that there was a place where you could upload a moc kinda like in lego.com galleries.

Nope, you need to host the images externally and link them back to a post on here.
