This is the first release of the bridge layout design for the second class of ships in this design group.

There is a long way to go on fitting the bridge out and I have ideas on what all I want to incorporate on this design so I think it's going to be a long design process. Please feel free to comment.

That's cool. It could also be used as the seed for a NASA kind of control room. - That bridge between Town and Space.

You know, as a kid, I recall we weren't too interested in recreating the exteriors of space vessels, but rather, the interiors. I recall several cardboard boxes being outfitted with walls to make rooms, and each of them splashed to the rim with control panels, and control desks, buttons, levers, vents, screens, etc..., all big enough to play an action figure in. I wish I would saved a few. Kind'a reminded me of that...

Finished the Captains area, and started to block out the bridge wing.......not to excited about the bridge wing. Also does anyone know how high up these windows are usually placed?

Here is the start of the bride wing. I'm still researching what would normally be placed on the bridge wing, but for sure there will be comms, signalling lights, and docking controls.

cool! i think making a bridge like this will be a problem when you make a ship with this design as minifigures are well, small (or fat, how you see it). so your ship will look more like a cruise ship then a ship in your reference pictures when looking at size. but good luck! I'm sure it wil look cool!

Got back earlier this afternoon from BrickFest Virgina 2015 and man I feel inspired! I'll probably post some pics up from the visit at some point this week but after getting the kids down for the night I got the old LDD out for some more building.

Starting to plan out the 01 Level of this ship, There will be two parts of the super structure that will extend to the 02 Level which is where the bridge is located. Above the bridge obviously will be the mast as well as a plethera of antenne and other greebles. The two platforms in front of the bridge will also house items but I'm not sure just yet what I plan on putting there.

For those wondering I'm designing this ship with Lego Digital Designer (Currently V4.3) and rendering them using a third party software called BlueRender. I think they produce some stunning results.11807677_10207622320982036_8001164775054715267_o.jpg

Loving this so far! Any plans to make it in real bricks after you're done rendering? I've been toying with similar designs in bricks without rendering, but yours is immensely superior. Looking forward to the project updates!

I've been working a bit on other parts of the ship and this space is similar to the Aux. Power Units (APU) that am thinking of using on the Security Cutter.
