After some major surgery on my leg ive been stuck in bed for a while so its given me some time to work on army. Its nearly complete just making some last touches and waiting on some more brickforge bayonets and woodys shakos from shapeways. Heres some Dutch Red lancers of the guard ive finnished. michaelozzie Posted July 14, 2011 For Captain Green Hair Heres the template for the horse blanket. It needs to be printed at 5.5cm in length to fit corectly. I normaly resize the image in msword to do so and offcourse colours can be added via ms paint. Ive even added a leopardskin print to one for a trumpeter as seen below. The front pieces are cut separetly from the back and attach to the horse with just the top edge resting under the saddle. Ive found a vinyl sticker paper works very well for these and my figures decals. It provides a glossy finnish and better strength in a thinner paper. Cheers
Bart Posted July 14, 2011 to be honest I had never heard of the 'Dutch Red lancers' before but after some googleing for comparison click I think they really look great, indeed nice horse blanket, but I also like the roll behind the saddle at first I was 'how did he do that?' but then I spotted a piece of string Bart

Captain Blackmoor Posted July 15, 2011 Wonderful figs Michaelozzie! Finally some more Dutch guys around! Those figures are really well done, the decals look splendid, and so are the hats. Very colourful! The horse decal is just awesome, I have never seen it before and it looks so good! It adds a lot of detail. Very well done, a great comeback after your surgery! RockNRoll200 Posted July 22, 2011 Wow these are great! I love the French army. Have you got any troops to fight them? Russians, Austrians, British etc?
jackdaw Posted July 23, 2011 That's a fantastic job! All the datails are really stunning. I also build a napoleonic army (La grande armee), but I am using only lego and brickarms parts. It's a different strategy - of course I cannot gain that level of details you have. Have you considered to change the heads and hands collor profile from yellow to light flesh? Maybe your army would look even more realistic. But again, thank you for the great work and inspiration!
