buddy Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) Hi everybody! First of all I'm just going to say that I wasn't sure what forum to post this in. In the end I chose to post it here in the Town forum (mods, feel free to move this topic accordingly). This year I decided that on top of my City & Kingdoms Lego advent calendars that I wanted to have a crack at doing my own version of a Lego advent calendar. It is not like the official Lego advent calendars, because in it I have a set for each day: - 35x Minifigure Series 2 Packets - 1 of each of the 10 recent Daily Mirror promos - 1x 40009 Christmas Building Set - 1x 8057 Wreck Raider From this list, you may think I've gone a bit over the top (I don't because I'm the one getting it all). Because I have in total 47 different items, I have started it early, today the 27th November and it will finish later than a normal advent calendar, the 4th or 5th of January. I have wrapped up each item individually and put them all in a box. Each day I will take out 1 item, or more than one if it is a specified date. Here is a list that I will update every day with the item and the date I get it on: Saturday 27th November - Minifigure Series 2 Karate Master. Sunday 28th November - Minifigure Series 2 Karate Master. Here is another list of the totals of each item received: 1x S2 Karate Master ~buddy~ I personally think the lego advent calendar should have multiple bricks per day that every day you break down the previous day and combine the current days legos with a new set of instructions..... or just a set that you get a large flat and every day you fallow new instructions to complete it finally on Xmas day... just my idea... mini figs are nice too, but that sounds like a $200 deal in the end Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I personally think the lego advent calendar should have multiple bricks per day that every day you break down the previous day and combine the current days legos with a new set of instructions..... or just a set that you get a large flat and every day you fallow new instructions to complete it finally on Xmas day... just my idea... buddy Posted December 4, 2010 I've been doing this advent calendar for a week now, and on the whole I think that it is going well. I've got some great minifigs, like the Spartan, Mexican and Pop Star. And I 've also got a couple of good promo sets (30010 and 30009) ~buddy~ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
buddy Posted December 28, 2010 I have now been doing this advent calendar for a month (I've now passed the period of a proper advent calendar)! I think that overall it has been a great success both for me and my collection, especially in the last two days, I have received two S2 Spartans from it.
