    FACTIONS: Introduction and Rules

Not terribly active, but you're welcome to try to get in touch with @WickNole. He's usually hiking through Eastern Europe and Russia taking pictures of ducks.
  2. *Your entry has earned 12 XP* Kyle Katarn arrived on the resort world of Selvaris and got word from the locals on where to find the ronin Jedi guardian, Jun Jin-Wa. After a short trek, he arrived at a small hut once used by attendants to maintain the guardian shrine - apparently squatted by Jun. The peculiar smell hit him first, like a dying fire under the thick mist of the morning. Bodies were everywhere. "I'm too late! Damn mercenaries! As if there weren't few enough Jedi--" [Jin-Wa groans and spits...] Kyle looks up to see Jun looking down, Corellian Jackrum in hand. "Sith spit! Jun? I thought you were dead!" Jun looks around bleary-eyed, and shoves one of the Iridonians away with his foot. He glances at the bottle, and finally remembers his manners. "Katarn! 'Morning! What brings you to my...uhhh." He gestures vaguely at the hut. "Want anything? Drink?" He shakes the now empty bottle. "Wait--no... apologies."
  3. *Your entry has earned 11 XP* Just a little commission build to show some Rebel pride
  4. *Your entry has earned 7 XP* (Iriz’iliac’sapla) Ziliac showed great promise as a cadet but chose a career in colonial affairs instead. Being a blood-born member of one of the Ascendancy's most powerful (and militaristic) families gave Ziliac the resources and clout to make his own path but saddled him with the expectations he could not fulfill for his family. Many saw the might of the CEDF and family controlled planetary defenses as the strength of the Ascendancy that would protect their people from any dangers. But Ziliac saw something else. The people were only as strong when they were fed. Their weapons only fired when loaded. Their shields only held when they were powered - and not overpowered by some new technology. The Chiss could not blast Csilla's sun to levels that would thaw their homeworld, but they could expand and innovate - explore and adapt - labor and love. Because the true strength of the Chiss comes from markets, technology, and cooperation, Ziliac has dedicated himself to opening up his xenophobic and (frankly) bigoted people to the Lesser Galaxy, braving the Chaos, and finding new markets.
  5. *Your entry has earned 13 XP* After repairs at Krolling Sen, Admiral Dy'lothe of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force commands the Groundlion Man-of-War, Venturous, out for patrol. The CEDF was founded to patrol and assess threats to the Chiss people in the Chaos, the area of space around the Chiss Ascendancy. Flag officers like Dy'lothe break family ties to serve the whole Chiss people. Warriors from all of the families server in the CEDF, creating personal and professional connections across the Ascendancy. The Chiss Skywalker takes the ship into hyperspace, using her third-sight to navigate the Chiss warship through the dangerous astronomical anomolies of the Chaos. Without droids and hyperspace navigators, the Chiss secretly rely on the force abilities of their young girls to navigate them through space. Like the Flag Officers, these Skywalkers are removed from their families during their Skywalker training. As they begin to reach maturity, their abilities fade and they leave the service to join some of the most prominent families of the Ascendancy and quietly live out their lives. The Skywalker program is one of the most closely guarded secrets of the Chiss.

The frozen planet is said to house 8 billion Chiss, mostly underground, but maintaining the thriving capitol. Chiss Planetary Defense (Csilla post) Serving the security detail on the surface of Csilla is not the most comfortable post. (Dune/Sam inspired) Harsh climate suits allow the warriors to survive, but not happily. Imperial Knight - Pentastar Alignment When you're one of the mean girls, but you're pretty darn good at it... Exotic Merchant - Black Sun Sometimes to get the good stuff you have to get around the laws. Sometimes that's through a friendly face just trying to offer a valuable service. Full Series Below

Credit to Sam for the charric design and Dune inspiration. Iridonian Warrior - the Imperial Consortium Following the occupation of Iridonia by the Triumvirate, some found an avenue for more profitable ventures through the Imperial ranks. Now auxiliary troopers in a wider conflict, they can be found probing the borders of Imperial territory and throughout the Outer Rim. New Republic Rangers - New Republic Starhawk Command Cordell Walker is a veteran Texas Ranger who protects Dallas the New Republic from the bad guys and believes in dealing with them the old fashioned way (fighting them). He also came up with the charric design... However, safe passage in these regions require specialists to hold their own, or choose from a sketchy list of pirates to guide them. Full Series Below
  10. *Your entry has earned 14 XP* Factions CMF Series 2 - the Fleet Chiss Expansionary Defense Force Fleet Flag Officer (combat gear) The Chiss Ascendancy is protected by the ever watchful CEDF. Flag Officers are ceremonially stripped of their family ties and name to serve the entire Ascendancy. To attack a CEDF Flag Officer is to declaration of war on the Chiss people, and grounds for complete annihilation. Chiss CEDF Salvage Technician (zero-G gear) The Chiss are always thirsty for new technology, from their neighbors, enemies, and beyond, to maintain their military superiority. Salvage crews can make quick work of the most obscure space debris. New Republic Starhawk Command Crewman (with mouse droid) The honored Rebellion made way for a fearless batch of recruits to the New Republic Fleet. Knowing the cost of tyranny, these noble warriors ceaselessly guard against any growing Imperial threat. CorSec Technician (with TR-ED) Tired of rolling over toes, TR-ED found the right CS technician to build him a slimmer profile so he could stay close to the action. Full Series Below

    Faction: The Chiss Ascendancy

Non-Chiss Characters of the Chaos The planets around the Chiss Ascendancy are diversely populated by other species, not seen in the rest of the galaxy. To create these characters, we will draw from other licenses and themes. The idea is to not make them too cartoony, or recognizable as other themes. We will update this post as we create new characters that will work as the Ascendancy's neighbors. Navigators' Guild Because of the complex jumps required between stars, navi-computers were unreliable in the Chaos. Force-sensitive navigators were employed throughout the Unknown Regions to traverse the stars. This is the only non-Chiss that will be allowed on the bridge or Chiss warships (and is also an excellent way to include a non-Chiss character in your builds).
  12. The Chiss Ascendancy Faction: The Chiss Ascendancy Faction Leader: goatman461 Capital: Csilla Systems: Csilla (ice planet, home-world, capital) Rhingar (snow planet with 3 moons - one forest, one water) Grids: E9 Description "But one fact has always remained constant: The Chiss must be approached from a position of strength and respect. One must have strength, for the Chiss will deal only with those capable of keeping their promises. One must have respect, for the Chiss must believe that those promises will be kept." ―Passage from Mitth'raw'nuruodo's journal The Chiss Ascendancy sits apart from the lesser galaxy, surrounded by the Chaos - an unchartable, disastrous space isolating and hiding the Chiss people. The Ascendancy is oligarchy, presided over by the Nine Ruling Families who make up the Syndicure. Though formidable, the Chiss have chosen not to expand as an empire or conquer its few neighbors. To be welcoming towards the Chiss means you will never have to fear them, but an act of aggression will mean your complete destruction. Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet Chiss warriors are renowned across the Chaos. Concept art is scarce, so the Ascendancy needs you to help flesh it out. Standards below will be updated as new material develops. Chiss Minifigure Requirements Rematching (Joining the Chiss Ascendancy) Chiss Families (to help you create your characters) Chisstopher by @pombe Chiss Roles (& House Color) The Chiss have a highly specialized society.
