How long will the Unimog be around?

As the title says does anyone roughly know how long the Unimog set will be available for. I reckon I can get it around the beginning of May as I am saving up for it. So will it still be around then?

Flagships normally last for about a year and a half, then Lego will sell them at a huge discount.

Yes you should be able to pick one up in may,i would think you would be able to pick it up untill August next year from the lego shop,thats when we should get the next flagship model.

you can still get 8043 from shop@home so I would expect the unimog to remain till summer 2013.

It should last until holiday season 2012, that would be a year and a half. It could possibly last longer if sales are up.

Do Technic sets ever go on sale on shop@home because I have never seen them on sale in Canada.

I don't know about Canada, but here in the States, we see sales every now and then. 8258 was half off last year, and 8041 is on sale for $35USD right now.
