Harry Potter and the Sword of Irony

Recommended Posts

The Irony is that this is a forum, but no one comments.:tongue: Anyways, this stop-motion was shot and edited over the past two months, and it is currently my longest and highest quality animation all-around. Got some help from my pal who goes by the name Adviceversas on Youtube; who created much of the effects, and by SgtGuNshot, who's voice acting really helped pull the film together.

Sirius-ly though, I want some comments, and don't call me Shirley. Edited by the last chronicler

I'll comment: am I missing a link or something?

Looking at my Username, you'll probably already know who I am

As I've already commented on youtube, I'll keep it short but, as Youtube doesn't allow me to say everything in a comment I'd like to, I'm just going to say it all here!

Well, back on track, so, the Sword of Irony... Probably one of the best Harry Potter Stop Motion ever made, that comes into my playslist along Brick72's videos

As I said before, the animation is as smooth as can be! The Mouth Animation is just amazing, and fits perfectly! The voice acting is also really impressive, especially considering the quite small cast you have on it! 3 or 4 voice actors!! My personnal favourite is Hagrid as he's just too funny! As a MOC'er and someone that accords a big deal of importance to set design, I must say you nailed everysingle set perfectly! :classic: The digital backgrounds look good too, though I feel as if the Bluescreening/Chromakeying could have been slightly better with some better lightning. The Motorcycle race is an example, of it. And Hagrid's hut scenes have the same problem.

But, except from that little detail, I just have to admitt that I'm completely in love with this! You've succeeded in creating an amazing, funny, epic, and impressive Brickfilm!

You sir, are a stop-motion legend! :cry_happy:

Wow! I can't thank you enough! I have to admit, this was my first attempt at chromakey, as this was the first time I had the technology to attempt it. The problem was the material I chose to key was a very light blue, and the lighting variation really affected it. Ultimately, I ended up Masking out much of the bluescreen, which led to a cut -out look in some of the scenes. This was especially put to the test when my light broke half way through shooting the Great Hall scene  . Though, I think the ultimate effect worked out fine, despite these minor variations.

Also, yes, Hagrid is amazing, I seem to remember that was the main reason that voice actor joined the project.

Awesome! I love your brickfilm! It's funny, really funny! Your castle is beautifull!

Well done! Félicitation! :)

Thanks! The castle is actually just a modification of the official 2010 set, with some CGI cliffs, but I think it turned out great.

Whahahaha I laughed my megablocks off!

That's great, thanks!

Oh my god...a hobo!

Brilliant, just brilliant. From Harry Potter's "catch phrase" to Snape's climax, humor was packed into every brick of this film. I actually stopped breathing at Harry's "secret identity." Are there any sequels planned?

Wow, thanks! I assume by Harry's "secret identity" you mean what he proclaimed after Hermione pointing out how he doesn't know what that term means? Yeah, that's one of my favorites too! As for sequels, let's just say Harry isn't out of trouble yet...(That means yes!)

Nothing solid yet, but I have unbelievably amazing concept for the next one in the works.

Yes, something about the placement of the line was just great. Good to know that their adventures aren't over yet. I wonder if Sirius really did kill Hagrid...

That was great, made me laugh. I enjoyed this very much. Will there be more?

There will be more, but we will have to wait.

One million-bazillion points from Gryffindor for being a blatant rip-off. Now, what is that mysterious ticking noise?

  :roflmao:

This is definitely one of the best brickfilms I've seen in a long time. I'm going to have to go back through it again to try to catch all of the humor.

Great job

Thanks, I felt that the film would be incomplete without a little referencing.

Also, good news, we just finished the script for a sequel! I'm very happy with it, and I have to say it's easily (large number) times better than the first one!
