Roman mafia game: DAY I

all of Rome was awakened early in the morning by the sound of horns. People gathered in the Forum Romanum, wondering about what was going to happen...

All were called: senators, plebs, slaves,... But everyone was unaware of the event that would follow.

Suddenly, everyone heard another horn and saw a Legate on top of the stage, wich was surrounded by soldiers

With a loud voice, the Legate spoke:

"People of Rome, times have been rough for us. There are a lot of riots in the capital of our Empire, and lack of faith in the governement. Two hills of Rome, the Aventine and Palatine hills, have been fighting eachother and the other hills in order to gain controll of Rome! Troubled times are from the past. The new emperor Vaspasian, who has been victorious at his siege on Jerusalem, shall bring order and wealth to our Empire! He has sent me and my legion to take care of any troubles. We will controll all of Rome, and certainly those two hills!"

the crowd listened carefully...

"Anyone who tries to destroy Rome, shall be convicted! A faith of crucifiction or gladiator will await him! May Rome become stable and powerful, as it was once before! Salve!"

the crowd walked away, thinking about what had been said, and prepared for a new day...

For me, I too think it would be best for our cities government to regain control. Then there would not be any need for bloodshed.
