The LDD software forced me into "safe mode" due to some claimed issue with the graphics driver. I don't mind so much, but the "safe mode" background is sort of annoying, and are there any restrictions that happen when in safe mode?

thanks

Depending on your graphic hardware, LDD may seems slower and choppier in safe mode. A quick way to get back in normal mode is to go to Edit -> Preferences and look for Compatibility mode level near the bottom, slide it all the way to the left. Click OK and restart LDD.

I use a 3-monitor setup where 2 of the monitors are connected to the video card, and the third to a USB adapter from Hi-S. When I use LDD on the USB monitor the colors are totally messed up and the graphics rather slow. Safe-mode does show the correct colors but the graphics get even more sluggish. I agree wit above post, that you must check your video hardware settings, an update drivers if haven't done so yet.
