A Blacktron battleship that leads the charge against the Space Police. Features interior lighting with several Lifelites modules and wing and tail mounted heavy laser cannons. The flight cockpit seats four including a gunner in the front, the captain shouts down orders from his command deck in the middle section, and the storage bay in the back contains a range of infantry armaments for ground assaults.

Wooh! That looks really good.

The details on the ship are very nice.

Interesting use of pieces in the front (especially the wing pieces).

This is a really great built.

Thanks for sharing. :classic:

I am feeling intimidated.

Great mix of older and newer elements, and the texture on the wings is excellent as is the way you executed the Blacktron logo there! :sweet:

Thanks all. :sweet:

This model was actually inspired by that trans-yellow canopy (from Benny's Spaceship). It was the first time in about 25 years that we got a fairly big piece in that color and made me think, what could I do with several of them? This is what came out of it. I wanted to make it look sleek but also evil, like the old Blacktron sets. I believe the Blacktron logo with the triangle signs is a fairly common technique, but it still fits in nicely here.

Amasing! I liked a lot the shape that you gave to it, among with the clever use of the slopes in the wings!

Thank you everyone. The roof slopes turn out to fit together nicely in that thatch pattern, although I wasn't able to fully cover the space up to the edges of the wings. The model does have a bit of the 40k ship style. I actually had in mind the Shivan ships from Freespace when building it, if anyone is familiar with that series.

I'm adding my kudos to the already growing heap of praise for this ship!

There wasn't any Blacktron influence in my past: but there most definitely is in my future.

Excellent attention to detail and greebling.

A really neat thing about this one is the almost modular appearance it has with the linear cabin arrangement.

Was that your intention?

Excellent ship. It has a new sleek predatory look while keeping the angles and shapes of the old blacktron ships. The wings are cool. The slope pieces give the wings a cool texture. Lots of great greeble and detail.

Thanks for all the compliments! The front section and wings are indeed modular, but are just meant to make it easier to transport to shows. I had originally made the middle and rear part split into three smaller sections, but it was making the model too flimsy so I changed it.

That is epic. So Blacktron, and so huge  Great work making interesting patterns and shapes in yellow, especially the triangles and rhombus on the wings

Superb engines as well, I like how you used the tall rounded bricks around the thrusters :classic:

Oh wow, this looks seriously epic! The classic black-yellow makes it look pretty regal actually. Very good design. Smooth and elegant - I just love it! Can you upload more pictures please? Maybe from the interior? :classic::thumbup:

I really appreciate the comments from all of you. :classic: I think that diamond pattern turned out well, especially since it doesn't use any special techniques and is just made of plates. I'll see if I can get a few more pictures of the interior. I found it hard to get good ones of the cargo area, especially with the lighting.

Fail! Needs more optic fibers

Nah, mighty fine work G .. Love the corrugated back wings, hate the front batman wings, the SP3 booster fire and that pointy soft nose. Needs more 4858p01! (And 2345p44)

Good use of the new trans yellow canopies

And THANK YOU for putting the yellow into BL1. Most MOC'ers seem to forget about that

Cheers,

Ole

You should check his MOCpages/Brickshelf, then

There's a Blacktron II MOC that's even more crazy! And some very nice monorail sets to boot. Oh, and that killer (litteraly) Technic truck ..

A talented man he is

Cheers,

Ole

Good to see you in here, and thanks a lot. :sweet: I'm not entirely happy with the front either (looks good from the top but not the side), but couldn't find other pieces with the same kind of angle. I definitely wanted to use some printed Blacktron pieces but we never got more generic pieces like 2x2 tiles or 2x3 slopes with the logo, unlike most of the other space themes, although I wouldn't be surprised if you have some. Maybe I should add some stickers of the logo. It's not the same but would still look good.
