How to put pictures in a spoiler

Recommended Posts

I want to post many pictures in this one topic but I don't want it to clutter up the topic. I saw some people putting stuff

in a spoiler so I was wondering how to do that.

The easiest way would be to post your reply and your spoiler and then click on the edit reply button and then drop your image into the spoiler.

Simply put your image along with the image tags inside of spoiler tags.

This

yields you this

I need a better explanation I don't understand what you did.

Hmmm, Ok, let me try again.

This is an image URL.

http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/wp-content/uploads/LEGO%20google%20logo.png

When you just paste it in the reply box like that, it shows up as a link, seen here. http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/wp-content/uploads/LEGO%20google%20logo.png

In order to display the image, you need to put that URL in image tags, which are these.

[img][/img]

So when you put the image URL in the tags like this, disregard the red coloring.

[img=http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/wp-content/uploads/LEGO%20google%20logo.png]

Then you get the image displayed, like this.

LEGO%20google%20logo.png

Now, to put text in a spolier tag, you use these.

[spoiler]Put spoiler text here[/spoiler]

So the above will look like this.

Put spoiler text here

NOW, if we use both of these things together and we put an image URL inside of image tags, inside of spoiler tags, you get an image inside of a spoiler.

This is what your text will look like.

[spoiler][img=http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/wp-content/uploads/LEGO%20google%20logo.png][/spoiler]

It will look like this once you post it.

LEGO%20google%20logo.png

Indeed. What most people do is deeplink a few images in a thread and then include a link to a gallery (or a 'set' on flickr). It's basically the same one-click away as when you put it in spoiler tags.

I just don't like spoiler tags much.

I am using spoiler tag when I want to have some info in the post for the viewers to see that for example may be a bit bigger or not that much important, so noone is forced to go thru it first, only if he wants to see/know more about the stuff in the message then he can click the spoiler and that additional info text will appear (like when I post my MOC rendered design I do not necessarily want disturbing everyone reading the stuff why I named the set the way I did or why I chosen the colors I have chosen netc.) :wink:
